How to Use Your PowerXL Versa Chef
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for using your PowerXL Versa Chef appliance for various cooking functions.
Air Frying / Slow Cooking
Follow these steps for air frying or slow cooking:
- Step 1: Prepare the Appliance and Food. Insert the Drip Tray at the bottom of the appliance, below the bottom heating elements. Select an accessory appropriate for your recipe. Place food onto the accessory. Open the appliance door and slide the accessory onto one of the shelves inside.
- Step 2: Power On and Select Mode. Plug the appliance into a dedicated electrical outlet. Press the Power Button to turn the appliance on. Press either the Air Fryer/Oven Mode Button or the Slow Cooker Button. The indicator light next to the selected button will illuminate.
- Step 3: Set Cooking Parameters. Turn the Control Knob to select a desired program; the program name will illuminate on the display. Press the Temperature/Darkness Button, then turn the Control Knob to select the cooking temperature. Press the Time/Slice Button, then turn the Control Knob to select the cooking time. Press the Start/Pause Button to begin the cooking process.
- Step 4: Remove Food. When the cooking process is complete, use oven mitts to carefully remove the accessory containing the food from the appliance.
Bread Making / Slow Cooking
Follow these steps for bread making or slow cooking using the bread pan:
- Step 1: Prepare the Bread Pan. Do not use the Drip Tray. Ensure the Kneading Blade is installed in the Bread Pan. Add ingredients to the Bread Pan. Open the appliance door. With the "Bread Maker" or "Slow Cook" text on the Bread Pan facing you (depending on the recipe type), place the Bread Pan over the connection point on the bottom of the internal cavity. Turn the Bread Pan slightly until it catches the connection point. Turn the Bread Pan to the left (clockwise) until it tightens securely in place.
- Step 2: Power On and Select Mode. Plug the appliance into a dedicated electrical outlet. Press the Power Button to turn the appliance on. Press the Bread Maker Mode Button or the Slow Cooker Mode Button. The indicator light next to the selected button will illuminate.
- Step 3: Set Cooking Parameters. Turn the Control Knob to select a desired program; the program name will illuminate on the display. Press the Temperature/Darkness Button, then turn the Control Knob to select the cooking temperature. Press the Time/Slice Button, then turn the Control Knob to select the cooking time. For bread maker programs only, press the Loaf Size Button and turn the Control Knob to select a loaf size. Press the Start/Pause Button to begin the cooking process.
- Step 4: Remove Bread Pan. When the cooking process is complete, use the Bread Pan Handle to carefully pull the Bread Pan upward and then out to remove it from the appliance.
Important Notes
Before First Use: Unpack all parts from the box and remove any clear or blue protective film from the components. Wash the accessories with warm, soapy water before first use. Note that only some accessories are dishwasher safe.
