Getting Started

1. Connect the Base

Connect the telephone line cord and the power adapter to the base unit. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.

2. Install the Battery

Open the battery compartment on the handset. Insert the provided NiMH batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment.

3. Charge the Battery

Place the handset onto the telephone base to charge. Allow for an initial charging time of 12 hours for optimal battery performance.

Important Safety Instructions

When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. Always read and understand all instructions and warnings marked on the product.

• Unplug the product before cleaning; use a damp cloth.
• Do not use near water.
• Avoid direct sunlight and extreme cold.
• Do not overload wall outlets.
• Refer servicing to VTech if the cord, plug, or unit is damaged, or if the product does not operate normally.
• Avoid using during electrical storms.
• Do not use to report gas leaks.
• Use only supplied NiMH batteries and VTech-approved power adapters.
• Do not expose batteries to excessive heat or immerse in water.

Disposal of Old Equipment and Batteries (WEEE)

Symbols (a, b) on products and packaging indicate that electrical and electronic products and batteries must not be mixed with general household waste. Take them to applicable collection points for proper treatment, recovery, and recycling according to national legislation. This helps conserve resources and prevent environmental harm. Penalties may apply for incorrect disposal.

Note: Symbol (b) may be used with a chemical symbol, indicating compliance with directives for the involved chemical.

Settings

These settings can be accessed via the handset menus. Navigation typically involves accessing the menu and selecting options.

Set Language

Set Date & Time

• Date Format: Select DD-MM-YY or MM-DD-YY.
• Time Format: Select 12 HR or 24 HR.
• Set Date: Enter the date.
• Set Time: Enter the time.

Set Auto Answer

Phonebook

• Add Entry: Select ADD. Enter NAME and NUMBER. Select MELODY 1.

Call Lists

Access Redial List and Call List via menu options.

Call Blocker

• Add Number to Blacklist: Select BLACK LIST → ADD. Enter NAME and NUMBER.
• Block Unknown Calls: Navigate to SETTINGS → CALL TYPE → Select UNAVAILABLE → Select ON / OFF.

Ringer Setup

• Ringer (External/Internal): Select melody for external and internal calls.
• Ringer Volume: Select desired volume level.

Tone Setup

• Toggle ON/OFF for KEY TONE, BATTERY TONE, OUT OF RANGE tones.

Alarm

• Select ON to activate. Enter alarm time in 24-hour format.
• Toggle SNOOZE ON/OFF.

Product Warranty

VTech provides a two-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship. The product can be returned to the place of purchase. This warranty is void if the product is damaged due to misuse, unauthorized repair, or faulty batteries. It is personal to the original purchaser and not transferable. LCD screen breakages are not covered.
