Introduction

This document is the user manual for the Xiaomi Electric Kettle 2 Lite. Please read it carefully before use and retain it for future reference.

Precautions

This appliance is intended for household and similar applications. It must not be immersed and should only be used with the provided base.

Safety Warnings:

• Do not allow persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or common sense, to use this product without supervision or guidance.
• Never let children play with the kettle. Keep it away from children.
• Always unplug the kettle when empty, not in use, when adding water, moving, cleaning, or if there is a problem.
• Do not use on inclined or unstable surfaces, or near heat sources.
• Do not place adjacent to or on top of electrical appliances.
• Use only with a grounded power outlet (10 A or above, 120 V~). Do not plug with other appliances.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or authorized service department.
• Do not open the lid, pour water, or add water while the kettle is operating.
• Do not overfill the kettle; hot water may overflow or spray out.
• Water level must be above the minimum mark (0.5 L) and below the maximum mark (1.5 L).
• Boil-dry protection: Ensure water is above the minimum level to prevent damage.
• Remove kettle from base when adding water and dry the bottom before placing it back.
• Do not place near heat sources (cookers, stoves) to avoid fire risk.
• Do not use low-quality power strips.
• Do not immerse the kettle or base in water.
• Do not tilt, shake, move, or tip the kettle when using it.
• Children aged 8 and above can use the appliance under supervision. User maintenance by children is only allowed if they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children under 8.
• When using for the first time, boil and empty the kettle 3 times before drinking.
• Warning: Do not move the lid while the water is boiling.

General Electrical Safety:

• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
• Do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.

Cord Safety:

• A short power-supply cord reduces risks of entanglement or tripping.
• Longer detachable cords or extension cords are available and may be used if exercised with care.
• If using a long cord/extension cord: its marked electrical rating must be at least as great as the appliance's; if the appliance is grounded, the cord must be a 3-wire grounding type; the longer cord should be arranged to avoid draping over counters or tables where it can be pulled on or tripped over.

The Xiaomi Electric Kettle 2 Lite features the following components:

How to Use

1. Press the lid release button to open the lid. Wait for water droplets on the inside of the lid to discharge.
2. Manually open the lid further (to approx. 65°) and add water. Warning: Water level must be at least the minimum mark (0.5 L) and not exceed the maximum mark (1.5 L).
3. Fully close the lid and place the kettle body onto the base.
4. Press the on/off button. The heating indicator will turn on, and the kettle will heat up. The indicator will turn off when the water boils, and heating will stop. Warning: Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Add 0.5 L of food-grade white vinegar and let it soak for at least 1 hour.
2. After pouring out the vinegar, wipe away any remaining sediment with a damp cloth.
3. Add water (above minimum, below maximum mark), boil it, pour out, and rinse the kettle with clean water 4-5 times.
4. Use a dry cloth to clean the exterior. Keep the kettle in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from dust, moisture, and insects.

Precautions for Cleaning:

• Ensure the kettle is unplugged and cooled down before cleaning.
• Regularly remove limescale and sediment to extend the kettle's service life.
• For heavy limescale, repeat the above steps. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Do not immerse the kettle or base in water. Keep the exterior dry.

1. Limited Product Warranty

Xiaomi warrants that the Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and in accordance with the user manual, during the Warranty Period. Xiaomi warrants to the original purchaser that its product will be free from defects under normal use. Xiaomi does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Xiaomi is not liable for damages from non-compliance with instructions.

2. Remedies

If a hardware defect is found within the Warranty Period, Xiaomi will, at its option: (1) repair the product at no charge, (2) replace the product, or (3) refund the Product (excluding shipping costs).

3. How to Obtain Warranty Service

To obtain warranty service, deliver the Product in its original or equivalent packaging to the address specified by Xiaomi. Xiaomi may require proof of purchase and/or registration compliance.

4. Exclusions and Limitations

This Limited Warranty applies only to Products manufactured by or for Xiaomi. It does not apply to:

• Damage due to acts of nature (lightning, floods, fire, earthquake, etc.).
• Negligence.
• Commercial use.
• Alterations or modifications to any part of the Product.
• Damage caused by use with non-Xiaomi products.
• Damage caused by accident, abuse, or misuse.
• Damage caused by operating the Product outside permitted uses or with improper voltage/power supply.
• Damage caused by service performed by non-authorized personnel.

It is your responsibility to back up any data, software, or other materials stored on the product. Xiaomi is not responsible for data loss or reformatting during service.

No Xiaomi reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to modify this warranty. If any term is illegal or unenforceable, the rest remain unaffected.

After-sales services are limited to the country/region of original purchase, unless otherwise stipulated by Xiaomi. Products not duly imported, manufactured, or acquired from Xiaomi or an official seller are not covered. You may benefit from warranties from the non-official retailer who sold the product. Contact the retailer if in doubt. This warranty does not apply in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

5. Implied Warranties

Implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are limited in duration to the maximum duration of this limited warranty, as permitted by law. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations on implied warranty duration.

6. Damage Limitation

Xiaomi shall not be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits, revenue, or data), even if informed of the possibility of such damages, as permitted by law. Some jurisdictions may not allow exclusion or limitation of these damages.
