EDF3 Ventilation Control System

Selectable Operation Modes

An electronic wall control compatible with all Fantech HRV/ERV models. This control activates the system in three possible modes of operation:

• ECONO: Continuous operation in ventilation mode at low or medium speed.
• 20 MIN/H: 20 minutes ON, 40 minutes OFF (Intermittent mode).
• CONT: Continuous high speed in ventilation or recirculation mode.
• OFF: Standby mode, both fans off.

Introduction

This three-function wall control is compatible with all Fantech HRV/ERV models. It activates the system in three possible operating modes:

• 20 MIN/H: 20 minutes ON, 40 minutes OFF (Intermittent mode).
• CONT: Continuous high speed in ventilation or recirculation mode.
• OFF: Standby mode, both fans off.

Wiring

Connect the wires to the EDF3 wall control. Insert the stripped end of the wires into the electrical connection terminals. Connect the wires to the "W" terminals on the EDF3 and to the "W" positions on the terminal connection block located on the fresh air appliance, near the power cord. Tighten screws using a slot head screwdriver.

Jumper Settings

Before installing this control, the jumpers on the back can be changed to influence its operation.

Jumper JP1: Econo Mode Fan Speed

Selects if the Econo function triggers the fan to run at LOW or MEDIUM speed. JP1 is shipped from the factory set to LOW. To select MEDIUM speed, move the jumper to connect the JP1 center pin with the MED pin.

Jumper JP2: Continuous Mode

Selects if the Cont function triggers the Fresh Air Appliance to run continuously in ventilation mode (VENT) or recirculation mode (RECIRC). JP2 is shipped from the factory set to Ventilation mode. To select Recirculation mode, move the jumper to connect the JP2 center pin with the RECIRC pin.

Installation

Screw the control mounting plate to the electrical box, then screw the cover over the mounting plate.
