- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Use only attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. Use caution when moving cart/apparatus combinations to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug damage, liquid spills, objects fallen into the apparatus, exposure to rain or moisture, abnormal operation, or dropping.
- The apparatus shall be connected to a MAINS socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
- Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- Correct Disposal: This symbol (♻️) indicates that this product must not be disposed of with household waste, according to the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and your national law. Take it to a collection center licensed for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Proper disposal helps prevent negative impacts on the environment and human health and contributes to the efficient use of natural resources. Contact your local city office or waste collection service for more information.
- Do not install in a confined space, such as a book case or similar unit.

Hook-Up Diagrams
The following diagrams illustrate typical connection setups for different applications. Ensure all devices are powered off before making connections.
Setup 1: Project Studio / Band or Small Church with Stage Monitors
This setup is for a basic project studio or a small church/band scenario using stage monitors. It involves connecting microphones, instruments (e.g., guitar amp simulator), keyboards, and MP3 players to the mixer's input channels. The mixer's main outputs are then connected to powered stage monitors (e.g., B3031A, B215D). A computer or MP3 player can be connected via USB for playback or recording.
Setup 2: Business/Multimedia Presentation / Band or Small Church with External Effects
This setup is suitable for presentations or a band/church scenario incorporating external effects processors. It includes connecting microphones, instruments, a DVD player, and MP3 players to the mixer. The mixer's outputs are connected to powered speakers (e.g., F1220A, B215D). An external effects processor (e.g., DSP2024P) is integrated via the AUX SEND and RETURN paths.
Controls
Familiarize yourself with the mixer's controls:
- GAIN: Adjusts the sensitivity of the MIC and/or LINE inputs.
- EQ (HIGH, MID, LOW): Adjusts the high, mid, and low frequencies of the channel. The MID control works in conjunction with the FREQ knob to select the specific frequency to adjust.
- AUX: Controls the amount of the channel's signal routed to the AUX SEND jacks. The PRE button routes the signal to a stage monitor. The FX knob sends the signal to the internal multi-FX processor.
- PAN/BAL: Positions the channel in the stereo field (left-right balance).
- CLIP LED: Lights up when the channel signal is overloading.
- MUTE: Silences the channel.
- SOLO: Isolates the selected channel's signal for monitoring.
- CHANNEL FADER: Adjusts the channel's overall volume.
- COMP: Adjusts the amount of compression effect applied to the channel.
- PHANTOM ON Switch: Sends +48V to the XLR inputs for condenser microphones.
- AC IN: Connection for the included power cable.
- POWER ON Switch: Turns the mixer on and off.
- SOURCE Buttons: Route signals (2-TRACK/USB, SUB, MAIN MIX) to the PHONES and CONTROL ROOM jacks.
- PHONES/CTRL ROOM Knob: Adjusts the headphone or studio monitor volume.
- MODE Button: Determines whether the SOLO button operates as 'Solo in Place' or 'Pre-Fader Listen' (PFL) for gain setting.
- SUB Faders: Adjust the output level of the SUB OUTPUT jacks. LEFT/RIGHT buttons assign the SUB signal to the main mix.
- MULTI-FX PROCESSOR Controls: Used to select and adjust built-in effects.
- AUX SENDS: Controls the amount of signal sent to monitor speakers or external effects processors.
- AUX RETURNS: Adjusts the amount of signal returning from external effects processors to the main mix.
- 2-TR/USB TO MAIN Button: Routes the 2-TRACK and USB signal to the MAIN MIX.
- VU METER: Displays the MAIN OUTPUT signal level. Can be switched between SOLO and PFL modes using the MODE button.
- MAIN MIX Faders: Adjust the overall output level of the mixer.
Getting Started
Follow these steps to get your mixer up and running:
- Power Off: Ensure all connected devices are powered off.
- Connect Cables: Connect all appropriate power, audio, and USB cables to the mixer.
- Set Controls: Set all channel EQ and PAN/BAL controls to their center positions. Set all other controls (faders, knobs) to their lowest or off positions.
- Power On Mixer: Turn on the mixer's POWER ON switch.
- Power On PA/Monitors: With the MAIN MIX fader(s) and PHONES/CTRL ROOM knob fully down, turn on your PA system or powered monitors.
- Adjust Main Mix Level: Slowly raise the MAIN MIX fader(s) or PHONES/CTRL ROOM knob to 0 or your desired listening level.
- Assign Channels to Main Mix: Press the MAIN button on each channel you wish to send to the main mix.
- Set Channel Levels: Adjust the CHANNEL FADER for each input to set its relative volume.
- Stereo Positioning: Use the PAN/BAL knob for each channel to position it in the stereo field (left-right balance).
- Add Compression (Optional): Adjust the COMP knob on a channel if you need to add compression to an input.
- Set Channel Gain: For each channel, set the GAIN control. Connect your microphone or instrument and play/sing at a normal level.
- Set Gain for PFL: Press the Channel 1 SOLO button. Press the MODE button next to the VU METER to enable PFL mode. Adjust the GAIN control for Channel 1 so that the loudest peaks reach 0 on the VU METER. Press the SOLO button again to disengage. Repeat for other channels as needed.
- Live Application Output: For live performances, adjust the overall output level by raising the MAIN MIX fader(s). If the red CLIP LEDs on the VU METER light up, lower the MAIN MIX fader(s).
- Effects and Monitors: Use the channel AUX knobs and master AUX SEND knobs to send signals to an effects processor or stage monitor. If using external effects, route the signal back from the processor to the AUX RETURN jacks.
Multi-FX Processor
The mixer features a built-in multi-effects processor. To add an effect:
- Turn the FX knob on the desired channel(s) halfway up.
- Set the FX SEND and FX RETURN knobs to 0 initially; they can be adjusted later.
- Turn the PROGRAM knob to scroll through available effects. The preset number will flash. Press the PROGRAM knob to select the effect.
- Adjust First Parameter: After selecting a preset, press PROGRAM again to enter Edit Mode (right LED blinks). Turn PROGRAM to adjust the parameter. The mixer exits Edit Mode after 5 seconds of inactivity.
- Adjust Second Parameter: If the parameter is on/off, use the TAP button to toggle. If it's speed-based (e.g., delay time), press TAP in rhythm with the desired tempo. The TAP LED will flash. 'Lo' indicates tempo is too slow, 'Hi' indicates too fast. The mixer exits Edit Mode after 5 seconds of inactivity.
- Fine-tune Effect Level: Readjust the FX knob on each channel to ensure the desired amount of effect is applied.
