Compliance with Safety Standards
The device is designed to be used with Apple HomeKit and is compliant with IEC/UL/CSA 60950-1. If integrated with another system, such as an alarm system, it is required to verify compliance with additional standards.
HomeKit Technology
Apple HomeKit technology provides an easy, secure way to control HomeKit-enabled accessories using Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. After installing your FIBARO Button, configure it from a compatible app with simple steps to control your home. You can create custom scenes to control home settings, for example, automatically turn off lights, lock doors, close the garage door, and set the thermostat in one step.
To control this HomeKit-enabled accessory, iOS 11.0 or later is recommended. Controlling this accessory automatically and away from home requires an Apple TV with tvOS 11.0 or later or an iPad with iOS 11.0 or later set up as a home hub.
#1: Description and Features
FIBARO Button is a HomeKit-enabled, compact, battery-powered wireless controller using Bluetooth® low energy technology. It allows you to control HomeKit accessories using Automations. Various actions can be triggered with one click, two clicks, or by holding the button down. With its small design and wireless communication, the FIBARO Button can be conveniently mounted on any surface and in any position or location at home, for example, beside the bed or under the desk.

- Detects 3 different actions: 1 click, 2 clicks, and hold.

- Easy installation.
- May be installed on any surface.
- Indicates state using a buzzer.
- Available in many color variations: black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, orange, and brown.
Automations require using Apple TV (4th generation) or iPad (iOS 10 or later) set as Home Hub.
#2: Basic Activation
- Press and turn the button counter-clockwise to open the casing.
- Remove the battery blocker and check if the battery is placed correctly.
- Press and turn the button clockwise to close the casing.
- Pair the accessory (as described in "#3: Pairing the accessory").
- Install the accessory in the desired location using the attached self-adhesive pad.
#3: Pairing the Accessory
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Go to the Bluetooth® section, and turn Bluetooth® on.
- Place the accessory next to your iOS device.
- Open a HomeKit compatible app of your choosing on your iOS device.
- Find the HomeKit Setup Code on the last page of the Quick Start Guide included in the box. This code is typically represented as a QR code with numbers like 1234 5678.
- Start pairing with your HomeKit app.
- Follow instructions displayed in the application.
Remember to keep your HomeKit Setup Code in a safe place. You may need it in case of re-pairing. A backup Setup Code is printed on the label of the accessory, but requires entering it manually.
#4: Functionality
Automations require using Apple TV (4th generation) or iPad (iOS 10 or later) set as Home Hub.
Detecting Button Pushes:
The Button detects if it was clicked one time, two times, or held, then reports it to your iOS device. Automations can be created based on the detected action.
Battery Level Measuring:
The Button measures battery level every 24 hours and reports it to your iOS device. Additionally, if the battery level is below 15%, the accessory will report a low battery status to your iOS device.
Buzzer:
The Button is equipped with a built-in buzzer that signals the accessory's status, such as identification (3 triple beeps) or reset confirmation (long beep). If enabled, the accessory can also respond to actions with sound signals. It will confirm the number of performed clicks with the same amount of beeps (e.g., two clicks - two beeps). Holding will be signaled with an intermittent tone.
#5: Reset
Resetting the Button to Factory Defaults:
This reset procedure allows restoring the accessory to its factory settings, including HomeKit pairing.
- Click the Button exactly 3 times.
- Press and hold the Button for at least 10 seconds.
- A long beep will confirm resetting.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
