Prevent Drowning
Always supervise children in or near the pool. Children under 5 are most susceptible to drowning.
DO NOT DIVE: Diving can cause neck injuries, even paralysis.
Pool Installation Must Comply with Local Laws and Regulations
- Bestway pools should only be used with Bestway accessories. Proper pool maintenance extends its lifespan and ensures safety (refer to Pool Maintenance section). Regularly clean the pool to keep it hygienic; the bottom should be visible from outside the pool.
- Use lighting when using the pool at night to ensure safety signs, ladders, steps, pool bottom, and walkways are visible.
- Regularly inspect all parts to prevent corrosion, damage, or other potential injuries.
- Electrical appliances and accessories must be operated by individuals over 18 years old who comply with relevant occupational safety regulations. Do not use the pool at night, even in dim light.
- Do not engage in any fighting or violent behavior in the pool.
- Do not modify any part of the pool or drill holes in it.
Drowning Hazard
Unsupervised children should be kept away from fences or other pool barriers. Fencing should be installed around the pool to prevent unsupervised children from entering. Consult local regulations regarding pool installation before setting up. Ladders should be removed when leaving the pool; children as young as two can climb them and fall into the pool, leading to drowning. Toys should not be left in the pool after use, as they may attract children to climb in. Furniture like tables and chairs should be kept away from the pool to prevent children from climbing. If the suction inlet is missing or damaged, the pool should not be used. Otherwise, body parts, hair, or jewelry may become entangled, leading to injury. The suction inlet should be intact before using the pool. After using the pool, water should be drained to 1cm below the pool bottom.
Electric Shock Hazard
- All electrical equipment, such as wires, radios, and speakers, should be kept away from the pool.
- The pool should not be placed under overhead power lines.
- The filter pump should not be operated while the pool is in use.
First Aid
A working phone and a list of emergency numbers should be kept near the pool. Emergency numbers to post include:
- Fire Department
- Police
- Emergency Medical Services
- Poison Control Hotline
- Full Home Address
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) should be learned. CPR can save lives in emergencies. Rescue equipment should be kept near the pool, and supervising adults must know how to use it. Rescue equipment is not limited to lifebuoys but includes more stringent devices. Necessary rescue knowledge should be learned, especially for supervisors.
In Case of Emergency:
All children should be immediately removed from the pool. Emergency services should be called, and their instructions or advice for rescue should be followed.
Proper Site Selection
A wide, flat area free of debris should be chosen for pool installation. It is recommended not to place the pool where children can climb into it. The pool should be placed in an area with good drainage.
Conditions Under Which the Pool Cannot Be Installed:
- Installing the pool on uneven ground may result in personal injury and property damage, and normal after-sales service will not be available in such cases.
- Sand should not be used as a base; if necessary, a hole should be dug in the ground. The pool should not be installed under overhead power lines or trees. The installation area should have no underground pipes. The pool should not be installed on driveways, patios, gravel, or asphalt surfaces. The chosen location must be solid enough to support the weight of water and soil. Grass and other vegetation under the pool may rot, so the pool should not be installed on vegetation. Installing the pool in areas with dense plant growth should be avoided, as this may puncture the ground cloth or pool.
- Local legal requirements regarding barriers, lighting, and safety facilities should be consulted and verified.
- If a filter pump is included, there will be a separate manual; those instructions should be read.
- Ladders must match the pool size and be used only for entry and exit. The ladder's maximum load capacity should not be exceeded, and the ladder should be inspected regularly.

Installation
No additional tools are required for installing the frame pool.
Important: The following steps are crucial for pool installation. Please install your pool according to these instructions.
- All components should be removed and checked against the parts list to ensure correct quantities. If any parts are missing, installation should be stopped, and Bestway customer service contacted for assistance.
- The pool liner should be unfolded with the top side facing up. The pool can be placed in direct sunlight for 1 hour to soften the material, making it easier to install.
- The pool should be installed near a well-functioning drainage system to handle overflow water.
Warning: The filter pump should not be used while people are in the pool.
Note: Portable power strips (extension cords) should not be used to power the filter pump, as overflowing water may cause electrical shorts.
Installation Steps (Visual Descriptions):
Step 1: Lay out the pool liner. Ensure the top side is facing up. Spread it out evenly. (Depiction of a folded pool liner being unfolded and spread out on the ground.)
Step 2: Connect the frame components. Insert the horizontal beams into the sleeves of the pool liner. (Depiction of a horizontal beam being slid into a fabric sleeve on the pool liner.)
Step 3: Assemble the frame structure. Connect the various side beams and U-type supports to form the rectangular frame. (Depiction of the pool frame being assembled, showing the connection points of beams and supports.)
Step 4: Secure the frame. Ensure all connections are firm and the frame is stable. (Depiction of the assembled frame, with emphasis on secure connections.)
Step 5: Smooth the pool bottom. When filling the pool to 2.5cm to 5cm (1-2 inches) high, it is recommended to smooth out wrinkles from the center of the pool outwards. (Depiction of a person smoothing wrinkles on the pool bottom, with a checkmark for correct and an 'X' for incorrect methods, and a measurement of 2.5-5cm water depth.)
Corner Valve Installation
For pools with corner valves (refer to Diagram 6, which shows the assembly of a corner valve with various components like gaskets and nuts, indicating correct assembly with a checkmark and incorrect with an 'X').
Note: If other cleaning equipment is to be connected via the corner valve, the filter screen should be removed from the connector (refer to Diagram 7, which illustrates removing the filter screen from the corner valve assembly).
Pool Water Filling
Note: The pool should not be left unattended while filling with water.
- The pool should be filled to 90% capacity; it should not be overfilled. This prevents overflow during heavy rain and helps maintain appropriate water levels (refer to Diagram 8, showing a pool filled to an appropriate level).
- Once filling is complete, it should be checked if the pool is tilted. If the pool is not level, the water should be drained first and the ground re-leveled (refer to Diagram 9, showing a level pool and a tilted pool with a 0° indicator for level).
Important: The pool should not be moved when it contains water, as this may cause injury to people or damage to the pool. The pool can withstand X liters of weight, equivalent to X pounds of pressure. If one side of the pool is not level, the other side will bear greater pressure, leading to rupture, and water will spill out, causing harm to people and property.
3. Leaks at the pool seams or valve connections should be checked. Obvious water stains on the ground cloth should be checked. No chemicals should be added until this inspection is complete.
Note: In case of a leak, the provided heavy-duty repair patch should be used to fix the pool. For more information, please refer to the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).
Pool Maintenance
Failure to follow these maintenance guidelines can endanger health, especially that of children.
A filter pump circulates water and removes suspended particles to keep the water clean. To maintain water cleanliness and hygiene, chemical substances must be added. The table below outlines the testing sequence for weekly pH and chlorine levels.
Parameter | Value |
---|---|
Water Clarity | Visible pool bottom |
Water Color | Colorless |
Turbidity (FUN/NTU) | Max 1.5 (preferably less than 0.5) |
Nitrate Concentration (mg/l) | Max 20 |
Total Organic Carbon | Max 4.0 |
Redox Potential against Ag/AgCl 3.5 m KCl in mV | Min 650 |
pH Value | 6.8-7.6 |
Free Chlorine (mg/l) | 0.3-3.0 |
Cyanuric Acid (mg/l) | Max 100 |
Combined Chlorine | Max 0.5 (preferably close to 0) |
To keep the pool clean, the following tasks should be performed:
- Local pool suppliers should be contacted to purchase chemicals and pH equipment. A key factor in extending the lifespan of the pool is cleanliness; the advice of relevant experts should be strictly followed.
- A bucket of water should be placed by the pool for users to wash their feet before entering.
- The pool should be covered when not in use.
- The pool should be regularly inspected to prevent dust accumulation.
- The filter cartridge should be regularly inspected. If the filter cartridge is discolored or dirty, it is recommended to replace it every 2 weeks.
- Foam from the top ring should be gently wiped off with a clean cloth.
- To improve water quality, Bestway recommends using Bestway filters and maintenance equipment. www.bestwaycorp.com should be visited or the supplier contacted. Rainwater should be prevented from exceeding the recommended water level. Proper maintenance will maximize the pool's lifespan.
Note: The pump should not be used when the pool is in use.
During the swimming season, the filtering equipment should be unobstructed and there should be at least a complete water circulation.
Repair
If the pool is damaged, it should be repaired with the heavy-duty repair patch. Refer to the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for specific instructions.
Disassembly
- The drain valve cover should be unscrewed counter-clockwise.
- The hose connector should be connected to a hose, and the other end of the hose placed in the drainage area (local drainage regulations should be checked).
- The control ring on the hose connector should be turned clockwise to the drain valve. The water valve will open, and water will automatically flow out. The valve should be opened to its maximum extent.
- After draining, the control ring on the hose connector should be unscrewed, and the drain valve closed.
- The hose should be disconnected.
- The cover should be screwed onto the drain valve.
- The pool should be dried.
Note: The control ring can regulate the water flow rate.
Note: The drained pool should not be left outdoors.
Storage
- Pool accessories should be removed, dried, and cleaned for storage.
- Once the pool is dry, some talcum powder should be sprinkled to prevent sticking. The pool should be folded carefully. If the pool is not completely dry, it may mold, causing damage to the pool.
- The pool and other accessories should be stored in a dry place, at temperatures between 5℃ / 41°F and 38℃ / 100°F.
- During the rainy season, the pool and other accessories should be stored using the same method.
- Improper drainage of the pool can cause personal injury or property damage.
