- Engine: All trims feature the 2.0L TSI®, 184 HP / 221 lbs-ft, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
- Transmission: 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode is standard across all trims.
- Drivetrain: Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard on S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL trims. 4MOTION® all-wheel drive is available on these trims and standard on the SEL Premium R-Line.
- Wheels: Wheel sizes and designs vary by trim: 17" alloys on S, 17" two-tone alloys on SE, 19" gray alloys on SEL, 20" machined black on SE R-Line Black, and 20" two-tone machined dark graphite on SEL Premium R-Line.
Exterior
- Headlights: Halogen headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are standard on S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL. LED headlights with DRL, Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), and LED taillights are featured on the SEL Premium R-Line.
- Mirror Caps: Body-color mirror caps are found on S, SE, and SEL. Black mirror caps are specific to the SE R-Line Black.
- Exterior Trim: Chrome side window trim is present on SE, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. R-Line specific styling elements enhance the SE R-Line Black and SEL Premium R-Line.
- Sunroof: The Panoramic Sunroof is optional on SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL trims, and standard on the SEL Premium R-Line.
Interior
- Seating Surfaces: Cloth seating is standard on the S trim. Perforated V-Tex Leatherette is available on SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL. Vienna Leather is exclusive to the SEL Premium R-Line.
- Driver's Seat: The S trim has a 6-way manual driver's seat. SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL trims offer a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support. The SEL Premium R-Line adds driver's seat position memory.
- Steering Wheel: Leatherette-wrapped steering wheel on SE. Leather-wrapped R-Line steering wheel on SE R-Line Black. Heated steering wheel is available on SEL and SEL Premium R-Line.
- Ambient Lighting: Available on SEL and SEL Premium R-Line trims.
Technology & Convenience
- Infotainment: Base S trim features a 6.5" Composition Color touchscreen. SE and SE R-Line Black trims have an 8" Composition Media touchscreen. The SEL trim also offers the 8" Composition Media system, while the SEL Premium R-Line includes the Discover Media 8" navigation system.
- Digital Cockpit: The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit is standard on the SEL Premium R-Line.
- Safety Systems: Forward Collision Warning & Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist) is standard on all trims. Blind Spot Monitor is standard on S and SE. Active Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Keeping System (Lane Assist) are featured on SE R-Line Black, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Stop & Go is available on SE R-Line Black, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line.
- Liftgate: Remote power rear liftgate is available on SE R-Line Black, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. Hands-free Easy Open & Easy Close liftgate is exclusive to the SEL Premium R-Line.
- Audio: The Fender® Premium Audio System with subwoofer is a feature of the SEL Premium R-Line.
