Instructions for Use
Before Use
Before using the grill, make sure you understand the safety warnings in this manual. Never use abrasive products on the cooking grate (3) surface to avoid damaging it.
Preparation Before Cooking
To prevent food from sticking to the grill, apply a light coat of oil with a long-handled brush to the food before grilling.
Note: When using the grill for the first time, the exterior paint may change color slightly due to high temperatures. This is normal.
Lighting the Grill
- Open the lid (2).
- Place an even layer of charcoal (4-5 cm) in the charcoal tray (4). A maximum of 2.5 kg of charcoal is allowed.
- Carefully insert lighting cubes or gel into the charcoal.
- Light the charcoal with a long match or lighter. When the flames subside, check that the charcoal is turning red.
- It is recommended to keep the embers red for 30-40 minutes before starting to cook.
- Before starting to cook, verify that the fuel is covered with ash.
After Cooking
Wash the grill with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive materials. Using abrasive cleaning products or sharp objects to clean the grill will damage the finish.
Food Safety
Follow these tips carefully for cooking on the grill:
- Wash your hands before and after handling raw meat and before eating.
- Do not mix raw meat with cooked meat or other foods.
- Before cooking, ensure the grill grate and utensils are clean and free of food debris.
- Do not use the same utensils for handling raw and cooked food.
- Cook meat thoroughly before eating it.
- To check if meat is cooked through, make a few cuts to see how it is inside.
- It is recommended to pre-cook large cuts of meat before preparing them on the grill.
- After grilling, clean the surface of the grill grate and utensils.
Care, Maintenance, and Storage
- Clean the grill regularly between uses, especially if it is not used for a long time.
- Ensure the grill and components have cooled down before cleaning.
- Do not pour water on the grill while surfaces are hot.
- Do not handle hot parts without gloves.
- It is recommended to cover the grill when not in use. Store the grill in the garage or shed to protect it from extreme temperatures, especially if you live near the coast. Prolonged exposure to sun, stagnant water, and sea breeze can damage the appliance. (Covering may not be sufficient in some of these cases).
- To extend the lifespan and maintain the grill in good condition, it is recommended to cover it when left outdoors, for any length of time, especially during winter months.
- Before storing the grill, make sure to remove any remaining charcoal or ashes.
