Key Features and Functions
This section outlines the primary functions of the Fanvil X3S/X3SP phones.
Call Management
- Call Transfer: Supports both attended and blind transfers. For attended transfer, press the transfer key during a call, dial the second number, and press the transfer key again to complete. For blind transfer, press the transfer key, dial the second number, and press the transfer key or the designated key.
- Call Forward: Navigate to Menu > Features > Call Forward. Select the line, forward type, enter the destination number and status, then press Save.
- Call Mute: Press the mute key to mute the microphone during a call. Press again to unmute.
- Call List: Access call logs via Menu > Call Logs > Local Call Logs. Scroll through entries and dial by pressing the Dial soft key, picking up the handset, or pressing the speakerphone key.
- Phonebook: Access the phonebook via the Dir soft key or Menu > Phonebook. Select Contacts or Groups. To dial an entry, use the Dial soft key, handset, or speakerphone. To add a new entry, press Dir soft key, select Contacts or Groups, press Add, enter name and number, and press Save.
- Programmable Keys: Configure shortcuts for navigation keys. Access via Menu > Settings > Basic Settings > Keyboard.
- Redial: Press the redial key, select the desired call, and press Dial soft key, handset, or speakerphone.
- Do Not Disturb (DND): Activate DND via the DND soft key or Menu > Features > DND. Select Mode and Type, then press Save.
- Voice Mail: Access voice messages by pressing the voicemail key or Menu > Applications > Voice Message. Select the line and press Play to call.
Device Installation and Configuration
Installation: Follow the diagrams for desktop or wall-mount installation. Ensure correct connection of power adapter, network cable, PC, headset, and handset.
Configuration:
- Via Phone: Menu > Settings > Advanced Settings. Configure Network (DHCP/Static/PPPoE) and Accounts (SIP server details).
- Via Web: Obtain the phone's IP address (Menu > Status > IP). Log in to the web interface using the IP address and default credentials ('admin'/'admin'). Configure network and account settings.
Language Settings
Navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic Settings > Language to select your preferred language.
Making and Receiving Calls
- Making a Call: Pre-dial by entering the number and lifting the handset, or lift the handset and dial directly. Use speakerphone or headset keys for hands-free or headset calls.
- Receiving a Call: Answer by lifting the handset, pressing the headset key, or pressing the speakerphone key.
- Putting a Call on Hold: Press the Hold key or Hold soft key. Retrieve the call by pressing the key or Resume soft key.
- 3-Party Conference: During a call, press the Conference key or Conf soft key to place the first caller on hold. Dial the second number. Once the second call is established, press the Conference key again to initiate the conference.
Screen Icons
Familiarize yourself with the various screen icons indicating call status, network connectivity, and message alerts:
- Call Status: In hands-free mode (?), Auto-answering activated (✔️), Call Forward activated (➡️), New SMS (✉️), New VM Messages (?), Do not disturb activated (?), Network storm (⚠️), Forward call(s) (➡️), Missed call(s) (?), Received call(s) (?), Dialed call(s) (?), Internet connected (?), Internet is disconnected (❌), No IP address (❓).

Keys Features

- Soft keys: Context-sensitive keys below the screen.
- Navigation keys (Left/Right): Navigate menus or access call logs.

- OK key: Confirm selections or access the menu.
- Hold key: Hold or resume calls.
- Call transfer key: Initiate call transfers.
- Conference key: Initiate conference calls.
- Phonebook key: Access the phonebook.
- Headset key: Activate/deactivate headset mode.
