Operation and Settings
The Philips Arbour features adjustable settings for motion detection, light sensitivity, and time delay.
Turning the Light On/Off:
The light operates automatically based on motion and ambient light. The main power switch [Power Switch ON] on the circuit breaker controls the overall power supply.
Adjusting Settings:
Light Sensor (Dusk-to-Dawn):
Use the dial with sun and moon icons [Light Sensor Adjustment Dial] to set the ambient light level at which the motion sensor becomes active. Settings range from daylight (sun icon) to darkness (moon icon).
Time Delay:
Use the dial with a clock/timer icon [Time Delay Adjustment Dial] to set how long the light stays on after motion is no longer detected. The duration can be set from approximately 5 seconds to 12 minutes. The diagram indicates a time delay of approximately 30 seconds [Time Delay: Approximately 30 seconds].
Motion Sensitivity:
Use the dial with a person icon [Motion Sensitivity Adjustment Dial] to adjust the sensitivity of the motion detector. This determines how easily the sensor detects movement within its detection area [Motion Detection Area].
The diagrams on page 5 illustrate these adjustments. The 'a' section shows the unit powered ON. The 'b' section illustrates the time delay function. The 'c' section shows the adjustment dials.
