Designed for home users or small businesses, the DS218+ offers a compact, powerful shared storage solution. It features the flexibility to expand 2GB of RAM to 6GB, catering to demanding workloads. The DS218+ is powered by a dual-core 2.0 GHz processor with a burst frequency of up to 2.5 GHz. Its built-in AES-NI hardware encryption engine delivers encrypted data transmission speeds of 113 MB/s for reading and 112 MB/s for writing when configured in RAID 1. The DS218+ includes three USB 3.0 ports and tool-less 3.5" drive bays, simplifying the installation and maintenance of 3.5" HDDs without requiring additional tools.
