Using OVR Jump

Setup

Set up the sender and receiver at least 4 feet apart. The OVR Jump releases lasers from the sender to the receiver, creating a laser barrier. When both units are on and positioned correctly, the receiver's LEDs will light up green, indicating the signal is received. When stepping through the lasers, the LEDs turn red, signifying the receiver is blocked.

Stance

It is recommended to stand forward and offset, with one foot directly blocking the receiver. A wide, centered stance may cause the lasers to be missed.

Most Accurate: One foot directly blocking the lasers.

Okay: A wide stance may not block lasers.

Least Accurate: Most likely to be inaccurate.

Modes

Regular Mode

Use for testing vertical jump height. The athlete must take off from and land within the laser area. Upon landing, the display shows the jump height in inches.

Diagram shows two vertical arrows indicating vertical movement.

RSI Mode

Use for dropping into the laser area, rebounding with a jump, and landing back in the area. This can be performed with consecutive jumps. Upon landing, the display shows jump height, ground contact time, and reactive strength index (RSI).

Diagram shows vertical arrows with a curved arrow indicating a rebound action.

GCT Mode

Use for measuring ground contact time. Set up the lasers in the appropriate area, allowing the athlete to quickly contact the ground during jumps and drills. Upon leaving the laser area, the display shows the ground contact time (GCT).

Diagram shows angled arrows indicating contact with the ground.
