Pioneer In-dash DVD Receiver Firmware Update (Version 8.31)

Update Announcement

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer,

Pioneer is pleased to announce the availability of firmware update version 8.31 for the current lineup of Pioneer DVD in-dash receivers. This update is exclusively for the following Pioneer DVD in-dash receiver models: AVH-X1700S, AVH-X2700BS, AVH-X3700BHS, AVH-X4700BS, and AVH-X5700BHS, sold in the United States and Canada. Installation on any other product may result in irreversible damage.

This firmware update (version 8.31) incorporates all previous updates from version 8.29, introduces AppRadio One™ functionality, and adds support for iDatalink® Maestro™. Key improvements include:

To perform this update, please ensure you have the following items:

The installation process is designed to take no more than ten minutes to complete.

How to Obtain the Firmware Update

  1. Download the firmware update instructions and the necessary firmware update files to a computer from the Pioneer website: pioneerelectronics.com/firmware
  2. Transfer the downloaded files onto the USB storage device.
  3. Insert the USB storage device into your Pioneer DVD receiver to initiate the update.
