Battery Safety

• This product contains a button battery (CR2032).
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Using this product to track other people is strictly prohibited. If you suspect that you or someone else is being tracked with this product, contact the authorities immediately.

CE Compliance

This device complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 2014/53/EU.

WARNING – KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

Swallowing may lead to serious injuries in as little as 2 hours or death, due to chemical burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.

If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery, immediately call the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.

Examine devices and make sure the battery compartment is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if compartment is not secure.

Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be dangerous.

Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their children safe.

Operation

This tag can be attached to any item, allowing it to be easily located via the SmartThings app, and is designed to work seamlessly with Galaxy phones and tablets equipped with the latest version of the app.

Pairing the Tag with Your Samsung Device

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your Android device.
2. Open the ‘SmartThings' app.
3. Remove the back cover of the tag and pull the insulation tab from the battery. A brief sound will play.
4. When 'Kogan Smart Tag' is displayed on your phone, tap ‘Add' and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.

Disconnecting the Tag

1. Open the 'SmartThings' app.
2. Tap the Devices icon and swipe through the rooms to find your tag.
3. Tap on the tag you want to discontinue using.
4. Tap the icon in the top right-hand corner and select ‘Remove device'.
5. A brief sound will play, indicating that the tag has been removed from your phone.

Resetting the Tag

If your tag is not working properly or if you plan to connect it to another phone, you can reset it.

1. Remove the back cover.
2. Take out the battery from the device.
3. Press and hold the button while reinstalling the battery. A brief sound will play, indicating that the device is in pairing mode.
4. The indicator will flash for 10 minutes or until the device is paired.

Note: The tag will turn off pairing mode if it is not paired within 10 minutes. To reactivate pairing mode, press the button.
