Clamping the Planer Knife

1. Loosen the fixing screws.
2. Insert the planer knife and pressure bar.
3. Align the planer knife parallel to the knife base.
4. Tighten the fixing screws.

Grinding Process

• Place the knife base on the slide way.
• Set the required grinding angle of the planer knife.
• Switch on the machine (grinding wheel and coolant pump start).
• Position the planer knife with the handwheel on the grinding disc.
• Hold the knife base by the handles and move it evenly to the left and right.
• NOTE: To prevent the knife base from tilting, do not move it too far to the left or right.
• NOTE: Always ensure sufficient cooling by positioning the coolant nozzle towards the planing blade.

Cleaning, Maintenance, Storage, Disposal

Cleaning

• Regular cleaning ensures the long service life of the machine.
• Do not use solvents, nitro thinners, or other aggressive cleaning products that could damage the machine's finish.

Maintenance and Servicing Plan

Changing the Grinding Wheel

1. Loosen the flange nut counterclockwise.
2. Remove the flange nut, spring washer, flange, and grinding wheel.
3. Clean the drive shaft, shaft flange, and all parts.
4. Ensure the new grinding wheel is undamaged and clean.
5. Insert the new grinding wheel.
6. Pull on the flange, spring washer, and flange nut.
7. Tighten the flange nut.

Lubricate

• Lubricate grease nipples of the guide shafts with machine oil.
• Lubricate the side way with machine oil.

Checking and Cleaning the Coolant System

• Empty the coolant tank.
• Check the coolant level and metal chip accumulation.
• Check coolant quality and replace as recommended.
• Clean the suction strainer on the pump.
• Fill the tank with fresh coolant.

Dressing the Grinding Wheel

Use a stone grader to dress the grinding wheel by holding it against the spinning surface.

Storage

• Store the machine in a dry, frost-proof, and lockable place.
• Ensure unauthorized persons and children do not have access to the machine.
