Roborock Vacuum Cleaner User Manual

Thank you for choosing our device!

Introduction

This is a smart robot equipped with a high-precision laser sensor. The vacuum cleaner independently determines the cleaning route, performs sequential cleaning of the entire room area, and is characterized by high performance. First, the device sweeps the floor, and then collects all foreign objects. The dust suction power is 2000 Pa. Simultaneously, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with many sensors and a powerful obstacle negotiation system, allowing the device to easily adapt to the room environment and select an optimal movement trajectory. Upon completion of cleaning, the robot automatically returns to the dock station.

Using the mobile application "MiJia" (or "Mi Home"), you can check the cleaning trajectory and robot status in real-time, and also set up cleaning zones and use remote device control. Make your life more comfortable. Free yourself from everyday household chores and enjoy life. We wish you a pleasant experience!

Installation

Dock Station Placement

Position the dock station on a level floor against a wall. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (approx. 1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (approx. 5 feet) of clear space in front of the dock station. For optimal mobile app usage, place the dock station within Wi-Fi coverage.

Important: Do not place the dock station in direct sunlight or where other objects might obstruct the robot's return path.

Powering On and Charging

Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device. Wait for the ring indicator to light up, then connect the device to the dock station for charging. The ring indicator's color shows the charge level: White (>20%), Red (<20%). If the charge is too low, the device may not turn on; please charge it promptly.

Quick Settings via Mi Home App

This device supports the Mi Home platform, allowing remote control via the "Smart Home" app. It also integrates with MIUI for smart home device synchronization.

  1. Download the App: Find the "Smart Home" app in your device's app store or scan the provided QR code.
  2. Add New Device: Open "My Devices" in the app, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner, and select the new device from the list.
  3. Explore More Devices: Download the "MiJia" app for more smart devices.

Installing the Mop Module

  1. Attach Mop Pad: Moisten the mop pad, wring out excess water, and insert it into the designated slot on the water tank. Secure it with the provided adhesive strips.
  2. Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank lid, fill with water, and close the lid.
  3. Attach Mop Module: Align the mop module with the rear of the main unit and slide it into place until it clicks securely.

Important Notes:

  • Do not use the mopping function when no one is home.
  • If the floor is carpeted, consider using the edge cleaning function or avoid mopping those areas.
  • For optimal mopping results, it is recommended to rinse the mop pad every 30 minutes of use.
  • If the dock station is placed on a wooden floor, use a waterproof mat to prevent water damage.

Operation

Starting Cleaning

Press the Power/Clean button to start cleaning. To pause cleaning, press any button on the device. To resume, press the Power/Clean button again. To send the robot back to the dock station, press the Charge button.

Important: Do not turn off the vacuum cleaner while it is charging.

Cleaning Modes

You can select different cleaning modes (Quiet, Normal, Strong, Maximum) via the mobile application. The default mode is Normal.

Partial Cleaning

When the device is idle or paused, press the Partial Clean button. The robot will clean a 1.5m x 1.5m central area and then return to its starting position.

"Do Not Disturb" Mode

In "Do Not Disturb" mode, the robot will not automatically resume cleaning or provide voice prompts. The ring indicator brightness is reduced. By default, this mode is active from 22:00 to 08:00. You can disable or customize this mode via the mobile application.

Virtual Wall

(Note: Virtual Wall tape is not included in the standard package. It can be ordered separately.)

Use special tape to create "virtual walls" to block off areas you do not want the robot to clean, such as bathrooms or areas with potential hazards. Ensure the tape is securely attached to the floor to prevent the robot from dislodging it.

Adding Water / Cleaning Mop

If you need to add water or clean the mop pad during a cleaning cycle, first pause the robot by pressing any button. Remove the mop module, add water or clean the mop pad, then reattach the module and press the Power/Clean button to resume cleaning.

Automatic Return to Dock

After cleaning is complete, or if the battery level is low, the robot will automatically return to the dock station. If the battery is critically low, the robot will return to charge and then resume cleaning once it has sufficient power.

Cleaning Process

Once activated, the robot scans the room and divides it into zones. It cleans along the edges of each zone first, then proceeds with a serpentine pattern to cover the entire area. After completing all zones, it automatically returns to the dock station.

Preparation: Before starting a cleaning cycle, remove any loose cables from the floor (including the dock station's cable) to prevent the robot from getting tangled, which could lead to power loss or damage.

Note: If the cleaning time required is less than 10 minutes, the robot will clean the area twice by default.

Zone Cleaning and Spot Cleaning

Using the mobile application, you can define specific zones for cleaning or set a target point for spot cleaning. The robot will then clean only the designated areas.

Maintenance

Main Brush

Recommended: Clean weekly.

  1. Turn the robot upside down. Release the latches on the protective cover and remove it.
  2. Pull out the main brush. Remove the brush end caps and clear any hair or debris wrapped around the brush.
  3. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove hair from the brush.
  4. Reinstall the main brush, ensuring the end caps are securely in place, and reattach the protective cover.

Note: For optimal performance, replace the main brush every 6-12 months.

Dustbin and Filter

Recommended: Clean weekly.

  1. Open the top cover of the robot and remove the dustbin.
  2. Open the dustbin lid (as indicated by arrows) and discard the contents.
  3. Rinse the dustbin with water, shake out excess water, and let it dry completely.

Filter Cleaning:

Recommended: Clean every two weeks.

  1. Open the dustbin and locate the filter. Press the filter release tab to remove it.
  2. Rinse the filter with clean water only. Do not use detergents.
  3. Shake off excess moisture and allow the filter to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area for at least 24 hours before reinserting.

Important: Ensure the filter is completely dry before reuse. It is recommended to use two filters alternately.

Side Brush

Recommended: Clean monthly.

  1. Turn the robot upside down and unscrew the side brush.
  2. Clean the side brush and remove any tangled hair or debris.
  3. Reinstall the side brush and tighten the screw.

Note: For optimal performance, replace the side brush every 3-6 months.

Mop Pad

Recommended: Rinse after each use.

  1. Remove the mop pad from the water tank.
  2. Rinse the mop pad with water and allow it to dry.

Important: Regularly rinsing the mop pad prevents dirty water from affecting the filter. A very dirty mop pad may impact cleaning efficiency.

Note: For optimal performance, replace the mop pad every 6-12 months.

Wheels

Recommended: Clean monthly.

  1. Turn the robot upside down to access the wheels.
  2. Clean the wheels, removing any dirt, hair, or debris.
  3. Reinstall the wheels.

Note: Use clean water to clean the wheels, dry them, and then reinstall.

Sensors

Wipe the robot's sensors with a soft, dry cloth. This includes:

  • Four drop sensors (located underneath).
  • Wall distance sensors (located on the sides).
  • Charging contacts (located underneath and on the dock station).

Battery

The device is equipped with a high-performance lithium-ion battery. To maintain battery health, keep the device charged daily. If the device will not be used for an extended period, turn it off and ensure the battery is charged at least once every three months to prevent degradation.
