Fence Post Repair Kit Installation Guide

Before You Start

• Tools Required: None (tool-free installation); rubber mallet (optional for hard soil)
• Materials Included: Repair stakes (upper/lower sections), U-bolts, washers, screws

Step 1: Prepare the Leaning Post

1. Clear a 12-inch radius around the base of the leaning fence post, removing weeds, rocks, or debris.
2. Gently straighten the post as much as possible before securing to minimize tension on the repair kit.

Step 2: Install the Lower Stake

1. Separate the repair kit into upper and lower segments.
2. Position the lower stake 6–8 inches away from the post, aligning it vertically.
3. Press the stake into the soil using the split design for leverage. If soil is compact, tap the top with a rubber mallet until 8–10 inches are buried.

Step 3: Adjust for Terrain

For uneven ground, add or remove washers between the stake sections to match the slope (e.g., 1–2 washers for a 10° incline). Tighten the connecting screws to lock the angle.

Step 4: Attach the Upper Support

1. Align the upper stake with the fence post, ensuring the split design wraps around the post.
2. Use the U-bolts to clamp the stake to the post, placing them 12–18 inches apart for stability.
3. Tighten the bolts gradually until the post feels firm (avoid over-tightening to prevent warping).

Step 5: Final Stability Check

1. Apply gentle pressure to the post from all sides— it should resist movement.
2. For extra reinforcement in high-wind areas, install a second kit on the opposite side of the post.

Alternative Applications

• Mailbox: Insert stakes 12 inches deep around the base, securing with U-bolts.
• Shed/Gazebo: Use 2–4 kits per structure, placing stakes at corner posts for balanced support.
