1. Install App "doordeer"

Install the "doordeer" app before setting up your indoor monitor. The app is available in the Apple App Store (for iPhone or iPad) and Google Play (for Android mobile phones).

2. Installation and Sign Up User Account

After installation, you can sign up for a user account. Choose the nearby service region for a better user experience.

The app displays a login screen where users can enter their email, password, select a region (e.g., "America Region"), and log in. Options to sign up or recover a forgotten password are also available.

3. Add Your First Indoor Monitor

The indoor monitor supports both Wi-Fi and RJ45 cable network connections.

For RJ45 Cable Connection: Ensure your router and switch support DHCP. Turn on your mobile phone's Wi-Fi setting and connect to the same network as the indoor monitor. When you click "Add Device" in the app, it will find the indoor monitor, allowing you to add it to your device list.

For Wi-Fi Connection: Navigate to the indoor monitor's Wi-Fi setting page (Settings – Wi-Fi setup). The device is ready for setup when the Wi-Fi configuration page appears. You will then find the "Setting" menu and click "Wi-Fi setting".

The screen shows a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Find your Wi-Fi name and click to connect.

Input the Wi-Fi password and click the checkmark icon [✔️] to confirm your monitor has been connected.

3.1 The Doordeer APP "LAN Search"

Open the Doordeer app and switch to the left slider bar. Click "Add Device" to add your indoor monitor.

The Doordeer APP uses "LAN Search" to find any online indoor monitors on the same network. You will see devices listed as "Monitor-hhxxxx". Click on the desired monitor and add it to your device list.

The app displays a "Searching device, please wait" message. It prompts the user to ensure their phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If no device is found, it indicates the need to configure Wi-Fi.

  • Live: For real-time monitor and unlocking.
  • Settings: To switch to Wi-Fi setup mode or adjust ringtones.

6. Basic Settings

You can set up ringtones and switch to Wi-Fi setup mode. The system also supports 12-24 hours mode selection.

The "Settings" menu includes options for "Wi-Fi setting", "Device List", "Ring tone setting", and "AM-PM or 24hours".

7. Cloud & SD Card Record Playback

Click the "moments" button to play back activities recorded in the cloud or on the SD card. The playback interface shows recorded events with timestamps, associated data (like phone numbers or codes), and playback controls.

8. Live Monitor and Unlocking

The screen displays multiple live video feeds from different cameras, each with a timestamp.

9. Calling, Talking, and Unlocking

When a visitor presses your room number or name on an outdoor station, the indoor monitor will display the video from the door station camera and send a ringing notification. You can answer the visitor, talk, and unlock the door directly from this indoor monitor.

10. Adding Second Indoor Monitor

Adding a second indoor monitor in a multi-unit house is similar to adding the first one via your smartphone. Refer to steps 3.1-3.3. In step 3.3, when naming the indoor monitor, set the "Work Mode" to "Extension Monitor" and link it to your first indoor monitor (Master monitor). This setup applies to third or fourth indoor monitors as well.
