RAVPower FileHub RP-WD02: Windows System Instructions
Software Download and Installation
- Download the software for Windows from: RAV FileHub V1.0.8.2.rar
- Install the software by double-clicking and following the on-screen instructions. A "RAV FileHub" icon should appear on your PC/Laptop.
- Power on the RP-WD01 Wi-Fi Disk. Connect to the network by choosing "FileHub-XXXX". The default password is "11111111".
- Create a shortcut on your desktop and double-click the "RAV FileHub" icon. The software will automatically search for connected devices on your network.
- Select the WD01 from the list and click "Login" in the bottom left corner. The login screen will appear. Use "admin" as the User Name and leave the password blank, then click "Login".
Web Management Interface Overview
The FileHub offers a web-based management interface with four main sections:
1. Explorer Function
This function allows users to upload, create new folders, copy, move, delete, and rename folders and files on the connected storage devices.
- Create Folder ?️: Create new folders on your Micro SD Card or USB External storage devices.
- Copy Button ?: Copy files and paste them into another folder.
- Cut/Move Button ✂️: Move files and paste them into another folder.
- Download Button ⬇️: Download files to your PC/Laptop.
- Delete Button ❌: Delete files that are no longer needed.
- Rename Button ✏️: Rename a file or folder.
- Photo Viewer ?️: View photos in a folder with a slide show.
Key interface elements include:
- Refresh Button ?: Refreshes the display.
- Upload Button ⬆️: Uploads files from your PC/Laptop to the Micro SD Card or USB External storage devices.
2. Information Function
This section provides details about the device and its storage.
2.1 Device Information
View information about the RP-WD01, including Host Name, Serial Number, Model, and CPU usage.
2.2 Storage Information
Provides information about the Micro SD Card or USB external storage device, including brand, total capacity, and available capacity.
2.3 Network Information
Displays detailed current network settings, including Internet access, Wi-Fi SSID, and IP address.
3. Settings Function
3.1 User Setting
Modify the admin password. The password must be between 5 and 32 characters long.
3.2 Disk Setting
Provides information about the internal hard drive, including firmware version, serial number, disk total capacity, and temperature.
3.3 Network Setting
- Host Name: Assign a name to the device connected to the network. It must start with a letter and can include letters, numbers, and dashes. The length should be between 2 and 8 characters.
- Wi-Fi & LAN: Configure Wi-Fi and LAN settings as needed.
- DHCP Server: The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) automatically assigns IP addresses. It is enabled by default but can be disabled for manual IP assignment.
- Internet: Configure Internet access options, including Wireless Access (AP + Client) for connecting to another wireless device to share internet, and Wired Access (WAN) for direct connection to the router.
- DDNS Setting: Enable Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) for remote access using a registered hostname. The default setting is "Enable DDNS: off".
4. Help Function
Provides detailed operating instructions for the RP-WD01.
Network Service Setting
1. Samba Service
The Samba Service is enabled by default ('On' status) and allows you to use third-party apps with SMB functionality to view files on your Micro SD Card or hard drive via the FileHub.
2. DLNA Service
Enable DLNA Service to view your files on apps or players that support UPNP/DLNA. Ensure a Micro SD Card or hard drive is inserted when setting up this function.
- Step 1: Enable the DLNA Service.
- Step 2: Input the DLNA display Name (e.g., "RAV FileHub").
- Step 3: Change Directory and find the "Share" Folder on your Micro SD Card/hard drive.
- Step 4: Save the settings.
System Setting
1. Time Setting
Synchronize time with an Internet Time Server or your PC's time. Options include setting the Time Zone, automatic synchronization, and Time Sync Frequency.
2. Backup Setting
Save the Wi-Fi SD/USB system configuration. This does not back up the contents of the Wi-Fi SD/USB.
3. Firmware Update
Update to the latest firmware version by downloading it from the RAVPower website: Firmware update 2.000.004.rar.
4. Reset Setting
Resetting to factory defaults will restore all customized settings and configurations to their original state.
