Introduction

This document contains the original instructions for the VEVOR Desktop Vinyl Cutter. Please read all manual instructions carefully before operating. VEVOR reserves the right to interpret its user manual. The appearance of the product is subject to the item received. VEVOR will not provide further notice for technology or software updates.

I. Precautions

1. Protective material must be removed before turning on the cutting plotter.
2. Check the label on the back side of the plotter to confirm that the rated voltage required by the plotter matches the voltage of the power base.
3. Ensure the power switch is off before plugging the power supply into a grounded power outlet.
4. Do not touch the power cord with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
5. Use only the provided power cord, data cable, or manufacturer-approved replacements.
6. Do not drop metal objects and liquids into the machine to avoid malfunction.
7. After shutting down, wait at least 5 seconds before turning the cutting plotter back on to prevent damage.
8. During thunderstorms, turn the power switch to OFF and unplug the power cord.
9. Do not privately change the manufacturer's components.
10. The manufacturer reserves the right to change product specifications without prior notice.
11. The manufacturer is only responsible for the legal obligations of the product itself sold to users and does not bear other losses caused by product malfunctions.
12. Without the company's permit, no part of this manual can be copied or transmitted in any name.
13. Use only the adapter provided with this product. Using an incorrect voltage adapter may cause electric shock, fire hazards, or damage to the machine.
14. Correct Disposal: This product is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EU. The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through [crossed-out recycling bin symbol] indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products marked as such must not be discarded with normal domestic waste but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.

This section outlines the operation of the vinyl cutter through its control interface and software connection.

Interface Navigation and Settings

The interface allows for various operations including setting parameters, calibrating edges, and selecting connection modes.

Main Operations:

• Offline Mode: The primary state of the cutter. Buttons for navigation (up, down, left, right arrows), 'Offline' status indicator, and a '+' button for accessing menus.
• Settings Menu: Accessed via the '+' button. Includes options like:
  • Test: Initiates a test cut.
  • Copy: Duplicates the current job.
  • Setting: Accesses general settings.
  • Offline: Returns to offline mode.
  • UDisk: Accesses files from a USB drive.

Detailed Setting Options

Within the 'Setting' menu, users can configure specific parameters:

• Edge Calibration: Used to set the starting point for cutting relative to the material edge. The interface shows controls for adjusting X and Y axes ('Main T', '+', '-').
• Language: Allows selection of the display language. Options shown include English and Chinese.
• Factory Setting: Resets the cutter to factory defaults.
• Default: Applies default settings.
• System Information: Displays details about the cutter.
• Aging: A setting for testing or calibration.

Connection Modes

The cutter supports multiple connection methods:

• USB Model: Connects to a computer via USB. The interface shows settings for speed limit (e.g., 500 mm/s) and selection of USB model (e.g., Printer, Virtual COM).
• U-Disk: Files can be loaded directly from a USB drive.

X/Y Scale Adjustment

Users can adjust the scaling for the X and Y axes, with numerical inputs for fine-tuning.

V. Blade Assembly

Proper assembly and adjustment of the blade are crucial for optimal cutting results.

1. Assembling the Blade into the Holder

The blade is assembled into its holder. This involves:

• Appearance View: Shows the assembled blade holder with markings (1-10) for depth adjustment.
• Exploded View: Details the components: Shank, Blade adjustment nut, Blade cover, Blade, and Pressing rod.

2. Adjusting Blade Length

Loosen the blade adjustment nut and rotate the shank to adjust the length of the exposed blade tip. The tip length should be determined according to the thickness of the material being cut.

• Correct: The blade tip extends appropriately to cut the material without damaging the base.
• Blade tip is too long: The blade extends too far, potentially damaging the cutting mat or material.
• Blade tip is too short: The blade does not cut through the material effectively.

Visual representation shows material thickness and base thickness relative to the blade tip.

3. Adjusting Knife Pressure (Example with Vinyl)

For first-time use, adjust the knife pressure and seat for best results. Example using vinyl:

• Step 1: Rotate the knife tip to the 2nd gear position. Set machine knife pressure to 200g. Press 'Test' on the machine interface to check the cutting effect. (Visuals show the blade, the cutter interface with "Force 200 g", and a sample cut square).
• Step 2: If the vinyl is cut through completely, adjust the knife pressure to 100g. Check the cutting effect again. (Visuals show the cutter interface with "Force 150 g" and a sample cut square).
• Step 3: When the machine presses TEXT, it should cut a perfect square, indicating readiness for engraving larger areas.

4. Blade Seat Gears and Material Compatibility

The adjustable knife seat has 10 gears. Each gear extends the blade tip by 0.065 mm. The table below shows material compatibility based on gear level:

5. Changing the Blade

Press the pressing rod when you want to change the blade. Take out the blade when it is exposed.

Assembly of the blade holder into the wagon:

• a. Loosen the fixed screw on the tool holder.
• b. Put the blade holder into the tool holder.
• c. Tighten and fix the blade holder when it is in the correct position.

Tips: Do not touch the blade tip with your finger, as it can cause injury and blunt the tip.

VII. Software and Driver Installation

This section guides you through installing the SignMaster software and drivers.

1. Obtain Activation Code

Locate the sticker (pic 1) which contains the activation code. The activation code is the numeric code above the fridge post (pic 2, pic 4).

2. Download Software

Open the provided download link and go to the official website to download the software:

Click the "Download" button on the website. (Visuals show the SignMaster website interface).

3. Installation Process

Once the software is downloaded, close all antivirus software before installing it.

• Double-click the downloaded executable file (e.g., SignMaster_UniverDSR_VS_GW.exe).
• Select Language: Choose the desired language for the installation (e.g., English).
• Enter PSN Code: Input the Product Serial Number (PSN) activation code obtained earlier.
• Agree to License Agreement: Read and accept the software license agreement.
• Default Installation Path: Click 'Next' to accept the default installation location, or choose a different folder. The installer indicates the required disk space.
• Select Unit: Choose the measurement unit (Metric or Inches).
• Select Machine Model: Choose the correct cutter model (e.g., Cutter TT-720). The selected model can be verified on the label above the machine's power socket.
• Select Additional Tasks: Choose any additional tasks to perform during setup, such as creating desktop shortcuts or installing a thumbnail processor.
• Installation Complete: A confirmation message will appear once the installation is finished.

4. Software Activation

When you open the software for the first time, an activation window will appear.

• Click "Activate".
• Enter your email address twice.
• The software status will change to "Activated", and all features will be enabled. (Visuals show the Licence Manager window before and after activation).

VIII. Connection of Software and Machine

This section details how to connect the SignMaster software to the VEVOR Desktop Vinyl Cutter.

1. Prepare for Connection

• Open the SignMaster software.
• Select the content you wish to cut.
• Click the "Send to Cutting Plotter" icon (represented by a carving knife icon in the software interface).

2. Configure Cutter Properties

• Click the "Properties" button.
• In the Vinyl Cutter (Plotter) settings, ensure the correct "Select Model" is chosen (e.g., Cutter EH-1350TS).
• Verify "Media Width" and "Job Name".

3. Establish Connection

• Click the "Connection" tab.
• Select Machine Model: Ensure the correct cutter model is displayed under "Current Vinyl Cutter (Plotter)".
• Connection Method: Select "Direct USB Port".
• Select Driver: From the dropdown menu for "USB Port", select "Vinyl Cutter".
• Status: The status should indicate "Device Connected" after detection. Click "Detect" if necessary.
• Click "Finish" or "Done" to confirm the connection settings.

4. Initiate Cutting

• Once connected, the software will display the cutter status and dimensions.
• Click "Cut Now".
• A confirmation prompt "Proceed with Cutting?" will appear. Click "Yes".
• The output is completed, and the cutting plotter will begin cutting the design. (Visuals show the cutter actively cutting letters like "ABCDEFG").
