App Setup and Device Pairing
Download the "eWeLink" App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store to add your SONOFF Zigbee gateway.
Adding the Device via QR Code:
- Power on the device: Connect the device to a power source using the Type-C interface.
- Enter "scan QR code" mode: Open the eWeLink app, navigate to the device adding section, and select the "Scan QR code" option.
- Scan the QR code on the device: Point your phone's camera at the QR code located on the device.
- Select "Add Device": Confirm the device detection in the app and select "Add Device".
- Long press the button for 5 seconds: Press and hold the button on the device for 5 seconds. The LED indicator will start flashing slowly for 180 seconds, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- Select Zigbee gateway: Choose your Zigbee gateway from the list in the eWeLink app.
- Wait for addition: The app will search for and add the device. Wait until the addition is complete. The LED indicator flashing twice signifies that the device is within the effective communication distance of the gateway.
Matched Gateways:
- SONOFF Gateways: ZBBridge, ZBBridge-P, NSPanel PRO, AIBridge, ZBDongel-P, ZBDongel-E.
- Third-party compatible gateway models: Amazon Gateway Model: Echo Plus 2nd, Echo Show 2nd.
- Other gateways supporting Zigbee 3.0 wireless protocol are also compatible. Detailed information may vary by final product.
*Note: The device may display as a human motion sensor under some gateways.
Installation Methods
Install the device in the desired location. The LED indicator flashing twice confirms effective communication distance with the Zigbee network (router or hub).
- Place on the desktop: Position the sensor on a flat surface.
- Attached to a metal surface: Use the magnetic base to attach the sensor to a metal surface.
- Stick to the wall: Use the included 3M adhesive tape on the base to attach the sensor to a wall.
- Base screws fixed to the wall: Secure the base to the wall using screws for a more permanent installation.
Detection Zone
The radar's radial detection distance is approximately 4 meters.
Diagram description: A circular area is shown, labeled "4M", indicating the detection range.
Cautions
- Keep moving objects (curtains, greenery, fans, pets) clear during installation to avoid misjudging presence.
- Non-metallic materials like glass, plastic, and ceramics can be pierced through by the sensor's detection.
- When installing multiple sensors, ensure they are oriented in the same direction or back-to-back, avoiding front-to-front irradiation. Maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters between sensors.
