Tata Power Renewables Achieves Record Rooftop Installations with 220 MW Installed Capacity in Q1 FY26

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has announced a record-breaking performance in Q1 FY26, achieving 45,589 rooftop solar installations. This represents a significant year-on-year growth of 416% compared to Q1 FY25, reinforcing TPREL's market leadership in the rooftop solar sector.
These installations have propelled TPREL's nationwide total to 2,04,443 rooftop solar installations, with a cumulative installed capacity exceeding 3.4 GW. This milestone underscores TPREL's crucial role in advancing India's renewable energy transformation and supporting the national objective of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.
TPREL actively contributes to the Government's vision for solar adoption through the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and its 'Ghar Ghar Solar' campaign. The company provides tailored solar rooftop solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, thereby enhancing India's energy security and sustainability.
With a strong pan-India presence, TPREL operates through a network of 604 channel partners across over 400 cities and 240 authorized service partners in 560 cities. The company serves over 2 lakh satisfied clients, with more than 1.8 lakh in the residential segment, establishing itself as a trusted solar partner.
Beyond rooftop solar, TPREL is expanding its solar manufacturing capabilities, strengthening the entire solar value chain. It boasts a manufacturing capacity of 4.3 GW for cells and modules in India.
