Product Overview

The Denver CR-430 is an LED clock radio with a dual alarm function. It operates on AC power and can use two AAA batteries for backup during power interruptions.

Safety Information

Please read the following safety instructions carefully before using the product and keep them for future reference.

  1. This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
  2. Keep the product out of the reach of children and pets to avoid chewing and swallowing.
  3. Never use old and new batteries or different types of batteries together. Remove batteries if the system is not used for a longer period. Check battery polarity (+/-) when inserting. Incorrect insertion can cause an explosion. Batteries are not included.
  4. Operating and storage temperature: 0°C to 40°C. Temperatures outside this range may affect function.
  5. Do not open the product. Touching internal electronics can cause electric shock. Repairs and maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel.
  6. Protect from heat, water, moisture, and direct sunlight.
  7. Protect your hearing from loud volumes. Loud volume can damage ears and lead to hearing loss.
  8. The unit is not waterproof. If water or foreign objects enter the unit, it may result in fire or electric shock. Stop use immediately if this occurs.
  9. The direct power cable serves as the disconnect device and must remain operable. Ensure there is space around the power outlet for easy access.
  10. Do not use non-original accessories, as this may impair product functionality.

Setting the Time

Note: Time and alarms can only be set when the radio is turned off.

Action Press
Set time Press and hold the “SET / PRE M+” (6) button until the digits flash.
Set hour Press the “HOUR / TUNE-” (2) button.
Set minute Press the “MIN / TUNE+” (3) button.
Confirm Press the “SET / PRE M+” (6) button.

Setting the Alarm

Action Press
Set Alarm 1 time Press the “AL 1 / VOL-” (4) button.
Set Alarm 2 time Press the “AL 2 / VOL+” (5) button.
Set alarm hour Press the “HOUR / TUNE-” (2) button.
Set alarm minute Press the “MIN / TUNE+” (3) button.

Activating the Alarm

Action Press
Alarm with buzzer Press “AL 1 / VOL-” (4) or “AL 2 / VOL+” (5) once. The buzzer indicator [?] will light up.
Alarm with radio Press “AL 1 / VOL-” (4) or “AL 2 / VOL+” (5) twice. The radio indicator [?] will light up.
Deactivate alarm Press “AL 1 / VOL-” (4) or “AL 2 / VOL+” (5) until no indicators are lit.
Turn off alarm / radio Press the Power Button ().
Snooze Press the “SNOOZE / DIMMER / SLEEP” (7) button.

Display Brightness

Press the “SNOOZE / DIMMER / SLEEP” (7) button to adjust the display brightness.

General Operations

Action Press
Turn on / off Press the Power Button ().
Automatic Tuning Press and hold the “HOUR / TUN-” (2) or “MIN / TUN+” (3) button for 3 seconds.
Manual Tuning Press the “HOUR / TUN-” (2) or “MIN / TUN+” (3) button repeatedly.
Set preset stations After selecting a station, press and hold the “SET / PRE M+” (6) button until the display flashes. Then press “HOUR / TUN-” (2) or “MIN / TUN+” (3) to select the station number (1-10). Press “SET / PRE M+” (6) again to confirm.
Recall preset station Press the “SET / PRE M+” (6) button to select a preset station.
Sleep mode With the radio on, press the “SNOOZE / DIMMER / SLEEP” (7) button repeatedly to set the sleep timer (10 – 90 minutes).
