Installation Steps
-
STEP 1
Attach rollers to hanger clips on both panels. Rollers should be mounted so that the head of the mounting screw is on the same side of the panel as the screw head set into the hanger clip. The hanger clip has multiple holes for fine-tuning panel adjustment for walls that are slightly out of square or plumb. For best results, start with all rollers in the second hole from the top and then make adjustments as needed.
-
STEP 2
Measure the opening and cut the Bottom Track (part 2) 1/8" shorter than the opening.
-
STEP 3
Place the wall jamb over the bottom track, ensuring the back of the jamb is between the track and the wall. Use a level to ensure the jamb is plumb, then mark hole locations. Remove the jamb and drill holes approximately 1 1/2" deep. Note: Use a 1/4" masonry drill bit for ceramic, glass, or stone. For fiberglass or acrylic, use a 1/8" drill bit and discard wall plugs. Adjust side jambs if needed for contour. Use specified drywall anchors for drywall over 10-12mm thick, or install brackets on studs for drywall less than 10-12mm thick.
-
STEP 4
Repeat Step 3 on the other side.
-
STEP 5
Apply a thin bead of silicone caulk along the entire length of both bottom ledges on the bottom track. Place the bottom track into position and press down firmly along the length of the track.
-
STEP 6
Push wall plugs into the drilled holes and tap them in with a rubber mallet. (Skip this step and discard wall plugs if installing on fiberglass or acrylic).
-
STEP 7
Apply a thin bead of silicone caulk on the entire bottom ledges of the wall jamb.
-
STEP 8
Use 1 1/2" screws to anchor the wall bumper and bumper guide into the center hole on each side.
-
STEP 9
Measure the opening at the top of the wall jamb and cut the Top Track (part 1) 1/16" shorter than the opening.
-
STEP 10
Place the Top Track down over the wall jambs as shown.
-
STEP 11
Install the outer door panel by lifting it up and into the Top Track. Do not lift by the towel bar, and be careful not to bump the panel against the metal track.
-
STEP 12
Install the inner door panel by lifting it up and into the Top Track. Do not lift by the towel bar.
-
STEP 13
Install the Towel bars (part 5).
-
STEP 14
Position the panel guide in the center of the Bottom Track. Drill two 1/8" holes through the screw holes in the guide and into the Bottom Track. Position the panels in the guide as shown in the inset drawing and attach the guide to the bottom track using 3/8" screws.
-
STEP 15
Insert the Anti-jump (part 15) into the Top Track.
-
FINAL STEP
Caulk both sides of the shower door frame to seal. Keep the entire area dry for a minimum of 24 hours. Your installation is now complete.
