LAUNCH CR3008 Plus Quick Start Guide
Components & Controls
The LAUNCH CR3008 Plus features the following components:
- 1/8. Selection Button: Used to scroll left/right through menu options in MENU mode. When linked to a vehicle, it scrolls through screen data to the previous/next page.
- 2. BACK Button: Returns to the previous menu.
- 3. I/M Button: Provides quick access to the I/M readiness function.
- 4. LCD Screen: Displays diagnostic information.
- 5. Diagnostic Cable: Connects the scanner to the vehicle's DLC port.
- 6. OK Button: Confirms a selection or action from a menu list.
- 7/9. Selection Button: Used to scroll down/up through menu and submenu options in MENU mode.
- 10. USB Port: Connects to a PC for device upgrades and data exchange.

Diagnose
This scanner is designed to work with all OBD II compliant vehicles with 11-14 volts.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Locate the vehicle's 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). The location may vary depending on the vehicle's design. Refer to the provided illustration for a typical DLC location.
- Plug the diagnostic cable into the vehicle's DLC port. The tool will power on automatically.
- Turn on the ignition. The engine can be off or running. The scanner is now ready for diagnostics.
