The VPN BOX2 supports remote connections utilizing VPN technology, ensuring transparent communication over standard TCP/IP protocols. This capability allows for the simultaneous transmission of multiple communication protocols, such as Modbus TCP/IP, for remote device interaction and maintenance.
Key Features and Capabilities
The SENECA VPN BOX2 offers two primary VPN connection types:
- VPN Single LAN: Ideal for connecting devices across different and distant locations to form a unified network, including shared subnets, commonly used in SCADA and Telecontrol environments.
- VPN Point to Point: Designed for maintainers to access a single device or its subnet for remote assistance, machine reprogramming, function verification, and problem-solving.
The VPN BOX2 is configured via a web interface and utilizes the VPN Client Communicator software for establishing VPN tunnels between remote PCs and the network/device. Compatibility extends to VPN Client Communicator versions greater than v4.0.0.0.
