This document provides comprehensive instructions for setting up, using, and troubleshooting the ZTE E3330 Wi-Fi 6 Wireless Router.
Safety Precautions
- Read all safety cautions carefully before using the device.
- Only use accessories included in the package.
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the required voltage (within a 10% fluctuation range).
- Keep the power outlet accessible.
- Disconnect all cables if the device emits sound, smoke, or strange odors, or if it is faulty.
- ZTE Corporation is not responsible for any incidents arising from the violation of these instructions.
Usage Cautions
- Do not extend the power cord.
- Keep the device away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and strong magnetic fields.
- Ensure proper ventilation for the device.
- Do not attempt to open the covers of the device.
- Do not place the device near water sources or in humid environments.
Installation Guide
Step 1: Install the Device
Connect the router to your network and power source.
Connection Options:
- If an Internet access device (modem or optical fiber modem) is available, connect the network cable from the modem's LAN port to the router's WAN port.
- If no Internet access device is available, connect the network cable directly to the broadband network port on the wall.
Physical Connections:
The router features the following ports on its rear panel: 2.5GE-WAN/LAN1, LAN2, LAN3, MESH, WPS, RESET, and POWER.
Connect the router to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
Step 2: Sign In
To manage your router, you will use the ZLife mobile application.
- Download and install the ZLife app from the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
- Open the ZLife app and tap "Register new account".
- Enter your email address and tap "Send".
- In your registered mailbox, find the ZLife activation email and tap the activation link.
- Log in using the email address and password provided in the email.
- To change your password, navigate to "About Security > Settings" within the app.
- By registering, you agree to the ZLife "Software License Agreement" and "User Privacy Policy".
Step 3: Add the Router
After signing in to the ZLife app:
- Tap "Add device".
- Scan the QR code located at the bottom of the controller (router). If no QR code is present, enter your wireless account and password manually.
- For Android users, you may need to connect to the router's Wi-Fi manually after scanning the QR code due to Android security requirements.
- Tap "Bind" to associate the router with your account.
- Once the controller is added successfully, the indicator light will turn blue and steady. You can then manage the router via the ZLife app.
Step 4: Add the Satellite Routers (If needed)
If you are setting up a mesh network with satellite routers:
- Power on the satellite router.
- Connect the WAN port of the satellite router to the broadband port of the controller router using a network cable.
- In the ZLife app, navigate to "MESH AP" and tap "Add device".
- Tap "MESH" and then "Add satellite".
- During configuration, the indicator light of the satellite router may flash red.
- After the satellite router is added successfully, its indicator light should turn green and steady.
- If you need to add more satellite routers, repeat the process.
LED Indicators

MESH | Blue (Steady on) | In extender mode, the wireless uplink signal is strong and configuration is synchronized successfully. |
MESH | Blue (Flashing) | In extender mode, the wireless uplink signal is weak. |
System | Green+Red+Blue (Flashing) | ZXHN E3330 is upgrading software. |
Troubleshooting
- Issue: The Power indicator on the front panel is off after the power is on.
Solution: Check if the power adapter is correctly connected to the device and the power outlet. Ensure the power outlet is functional. Try a different power adapter if available. - Issue: The WAN indicator on the front panel is off.
Solution: Ensure the Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the WAN port of the device and the Internet access device or wall port. Check if the corresponding LAN is established. - Issue: Unable to access the network.
Solution: Check if the Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the WAN interface. Verify that the WAN indicator is on and the Internet indicator (if applicable) is solid green or flashing green. Restore the device to factory default settings if necessary.
