Installation
Follow these steps for initial installation:
- Grounding: Use the provided grounding wire. Connect one end to the grounding terminal (7) on the unit and the other end to a suitable grounded object. This step is crucial to prevent damage from power surges or static electricity.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the power socket (8) on the unit and to a power outlet.
- CCKM Server Connection: Connect a CCKM server to one of the unit's 10/100/1000M RJ-45 ports (ES0154) or 10/100/1000M RJ-45 PoE+ ports (ES0154P).
- KE Extender Connection: Connect up to 47 KE series extenders to the unit's available 10/100/1000M RJ-45 ports (ES0154) or 10/100/1000M RJ-45 PoE+ ports (ES0154P).
Diagram Description: The installation diagram shows a CCKM server connected via RJ-45 to the switch. Up to 47 KE extenders are also shown connecting to the switch's RJ-45 ports.
Operation: Setting Up the CCKM Server IP Address
To configure the CCKM server's IP address for network management:
- From the CCKM server's web GUI, navigate to 'Network and Sharing Center' > 'Change Adapter Settings'.
- Right-click on your 'Local Area Connection' and select 'Properties'.
- In the 'Local Area Connection Properties' window, highlight 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' and click 'Properties'.
- Select 'Use the Following IP Address'. Enter the CCKM server's IP address (e.g., an unused IP within the 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.253 range), the Subnet Mask (e.g., 255.255.255.0), and the Default Gateway that matches your network configuration. Ensure the IP address is not duplicated to avoid conflicts.
- Click 'OK' to save the changes.
To connect to the CCKM server via a web browser, enter the server's IP address and port number (default: 8443). For example: https://192.168.0.10:8443
.
