Remote Controller Description
The remote controller features a dual-stick control system and an LCD display for flight information.
Control Stick Functions:
- Left Master Control Stick: Controls throttle (up/down) and yaw (left/right rotation).
- Right Joystick: Controls pitch (forward/backward) and roll (left/right sideways movement).
Other Controls:
- Power Switch: Turns the remote controller on/off.
- Return-to-Home/Emergency Stop Button: Initiates automatic return or stops motors in emergencies.
- Compass Calibration/Mode Switch: Used for compass calibration and potentially switching flight modes.
- Speed Switching: Adjusts the drone's flight speed.
- Photo Button: Captures still images.
- Video Recording Button: Starts and stops video recording.
- Gimbal Control Dial: Adjusts the camera's tilt angle.
- Flight Mode Switch: Selects different flight modes (e.g., GPS mode, ATTI mode).
LCD Screen Indicators:
The LCD screen displays:
- GPS Signal Strength: Indicates the number of satellites locked.
- Remote Control Signal Strength: Shows the connection quality.
- Aircraft Power: Displays the drone's battery level.
- Left and Right Hand Control Mode: Shows the current control mode.
- Video/Photo Status: Indicates if recording or photo capture is active.
- Flight Mode: Displays the active flight mode (e.g., GPS, ATTI).
- Flight Time: Shows the remaining flight duration.
- Altitude: Displays the drone's current height above takeoff point.
- Distance: Shows the drone's horizontal distance from the controller.
- Speed: Indicates the drone's current speed.
- Trim Settings: Fine-tunes flight stability.
Drone Components
The aerial drone is equipped with several key components:
- 1. HD Camera: For capturing aerial photos and videos.
- 2. Flight Battery: Provides power to the drone.
- 3. LED Indicator: Displays the drone's status (e.g., GPS lock, flight mode).
- 4. Frame Arms: Support the motors and propellers.
- 5. Obstacle Avoidance System: Sensors to detect and avoid obstacles (if equipped).
- 6. Landing Gear: For stable landings.
Installation and Setup
Propeller Installation
To install propellers, carefully open the propeller arms. Match the 'A' propellers with the 'A' motors and 'B' propellers with the 'B' motors. Ensure they are securely attached by screwing them in the correct direction until tight. Use the provided tool for tightening if necessary.
Flight Battery Installation
Insert the flight battery into the designated compartment on the drone. Ensure it clicks into place securely. The battery should be fully charged before flight.
Remote Control Battery Installation
Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote controller. Insert the required batteries (e.g., AA type) observing the correct polarity (+/-). Replace the battery cover.
Flight Operations
Aircraft Parking
Place the drone on a flat, open, and level surface for takeoff and landing.
Flight Preparation
- Ensure the drone and remote controller batteries are fully charged.
- Turn on the remote controller, then power on the drone.
- Wait for the drone to acquire a stable GPS signal (indicated by the LED lights and remote controller display).
- Perform compass calibration if prompted or if flying in a new location.
Takeoff and Landing
Automatic Takeoff: Press the takeoff button on the remote controller. The drone will ascend to a safe altitude and hover.
Manual Takeoff: Slowly push the throttle stick upwards until the drone lifts off the ground. Gently control its ascent.
Automatic Landing: Press the landing button on the remote controller. The drone will descend and land automatically.
Manual Landing: Slowly pull the throttle stick downwards until the drone lands. Hold the stick down for a few seconds to stop the motors.
Flight Control
When the left joystick is pushed up/down: The aircraft ascends/descends. Control the throttle speed of the drone.
When the left joystick is pushed left/right: The aircraft rotates left/right (yaw). Control the drone's rotation.
When the right joystick is pushed forward/backward: The aircraft moves forward/backward (pitch). Control the drone's forward and backward movement.
When the right joystick is pushed left/right: The aircraft moves left/right (roll). Control the drone's sideways movement.
Advanced Flight Features
GPS and Positioning
With a stable GPS signal, the drone can maintain its position accurately, allowing for stable hovering and precise flight control. This feature is crucial for features like automatic takeoff, landing, and return-to-home.
Automatic Return to Home (RTH)
The drone is equipped with an Automatic Return to Home (RTH) function. When activated (e.g., by pressing the RTH button or if the signal is lost), the drone will fly back to its recorded takeoff point and land safely.
