Service Overview
Service Description: Wireless broadband with optional landline service for residential customers. The 'You Choose' offer is only available when bundled with an electricity service. Wireless broadband connects your home through a 4G wireless connection. Mercury offers four plans for wireless broadband: 120GB, 300GB Urban, 300GB Rural, and 1000GB.
Availability: Wireless broadband is available in rural and urban areas where applicable 4G coverage and capacity are available. Check availability on the Mercury website or by calling 0800 789 505.

The 'You Choose' offer is available to new residential customers who join Mercury for electricity and broadband services at the same address on a 2-year term. Joining bonuses are determined by the broadband plan chosen at sign-up. Upgrades to other products may be possible with an upfront top-up payment.

The optional landline service connects to the public phone network for free local calls. National, international, mobile, and 0900 number calls are charged at standard rates. Additional calling packages are available.
Routers
Futura Modem: $0 ++
Wireless broadband services require a wireless broadband router supplied by Mercury. A $14.95 postage and handling charge applies.
Additional Data Charges
Additional data packs are available for capped wireless broadband plans at $10 for 10GB. Data packs can be automatically or manually applied. A one-off 10GB data pack is automatically applied when the full monthly data allowance is consumed (unless manual packs are already added or consumed). One automatic data pack is available per month. Four manual data packs can be purchased per month for capped plans. Data packs are valid for 30 days.
Customers will receive email/text notifications at 80% and 100% of monthly data allowance.
Set Up Charges
A free standard connection is provided. A postage and handling charge for the router will apply.
Other Charges
Additional charges may apply for non-standard installations and additional in-home technician work at the time of connection. See phone and internet terms for more details. Electricity and gas charges also apply for energy services.

Broadband Performance
Actual speeds are affected by device capabilities, number of connected devices, operating system, web-browser, and connection type (wireless vs. wired). Find out more about factors influencing speed.
As a wireless connection, speeds can be impacted by distance from the cell tower, network capability, and overall cell tower usage. The supplied Mercury router is capable of providing estimated peak time average speeds, subject to these factors.

Early Termination Fee
Early termination fees apply if you terminate or switch providers within the Term. Fees vary based on the joining bonus and reduce monthly. An early termination fee is payable only once.

Terms and Policies
Notice Period (Termination): After the term ends, services can be cancelled with at least 5 working days' notice. Charges apply until disconnection. View phone and internet terms for more information.

Traffic Management: Mercury may manage traffic at peak times (e.g., limit download/upload speeds) to ensure a positive customer experience. Customers will be notified of any material changes.
Speed Restrictions: For non-capped plans, maximum speeds reduce to 5Mbps after full data allowance is consumed until the monthly renewal date. This may cause degradations in video streaming or image loading. Actual speeds can also be affected by other factors.
Service Restrictions: A service restriction policy may influence broadband performance. See clause 5.5 of the phone and internet terms.
Fair Use Policy: No fair use policy applies.
Effects on Other Services: The wireless broadband service requires mains electricity. If electricity is unavailable (e.g., during an outage), services running over the broadband (like landlines, medical alarms, security alarms) may stop working unless battery backup is present. Customers are responsible for checking compatibility with existing service providers. Contacting 111 in an emergency may be affected. A charged mobile or alternative arrangement is recommended.
