S3P 120V Shore Power Relay Wiring Diagram
For Siren 3 Series Devices
Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the wiring connections for the S3P 120V Shore Power Relay, intended for use with Siren 3 Series Devices. It details the connections for battery power, DC common ground, and shore power (AC hot and neutral).
Wiring Cable 1 (Harness 1) connects to the relay. The diagram shows color-coded wires from this harness connecting to different terminals on the relay.
Battery 1 (+) is connected to a +9VDC to +30VDC power source.
DC Common Ground (-) is shown as an alternative ground connection.
Shore Power connections include 120V AC Neutral and 120V AC Hot. The 120V AC ground is not used with this relay.
Note: Posi-Tap™ connectors, terminal blocks, or other connection types can be used to connect the wiring cable to sensor wires.
The relay itself is depicted with multiple switches, each with terminals labeled NO (Normally Open), NC (Normally Closed), and COM (Common). The diagram indicates that each normally closed (NC) circuit correlates with a specific COM circuit as indicated by dotted lines.
Note: There are three separate switches that can be used on the relay. Each normally closed (NC) circuit correlates with a specific COM circuit as indicated by the dotted lines.
Installation Instructions
- Ensure AC power is OFF.
- Assemble the relay by matching the pins on the gray piece to the sockets on the blue piece and push together firmly.
- Connect the "Shore power (light green)" wire from the Siren 3 Pro wiring cable to one of the normally open (NO) terminals on the relay.
- Connect a wire from DC Common Ground to the "COM" terminal of the corresponding relay switch.
- Connect the AC Hot wire (black) to one of the "COIL" terminals of the relay.
- Connect the AC Neutral wire (white) to the OTHER "COIL" terminal of the relay.
- Leave the AC Ground wire (bare wire or green) unconnected to this relay.
