Operation
Working Position:
- The Grass Sweeper has a self-propelled motion. The rotating bristles pull the machine along. Lower settings provide more intense self-propulsion.
- It is recommended to start with the highest setting to familiarize yourself with the operation.
- Work in a pattern, starting from the nearest power source and moving outwards.
- Work against the pile of your lawn to achieve a fluffier look.
- For lawns with an incline, work horizontally. Working downhill can be dangerous.
- To create lawn stripes, alternate the direction of the machine's path.
- The sweeper will leave a 10cm gap to walls or raised borders.
- Use a strong bristle garden brush for areas the sweeper cannot reach.
Before Starting:
- Check the condition of the cable. Do not use if damaged.
- Ensure no objects or branches are trapped in the machine.
- Ensure the work area is tidy and free of obstacles. Remove debris like stones and sticks.
- Never operate the machine if it is damaged.
- To start the unit: Press and hold the Safety Button (2), then pull the Starting Lever (3). Keep holding the Starting Lever and release the Safety Button.
Depth Adjustment:
- The working depth is adjustable to 5 heights (-11, -7, -3, +3, +10mm).
- Shift the Depth Adjustment Handle (10) forwards or backwards to adjust the height.
- Start with the highest position and gradually lower to find the best setting for your grass type.
Before Vacuuming:
- The lawn MUST be dry before using the Lawn Sweeper. Using on wet lawns will not achieve the same results and may cause clogging.
- It is recommended to clean your lawn with a suitable pressure washer and vacuum before use.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Remove any grass and mud after each use. Use a clean cloth to remove dirt and grease.
- DO NOT use water on any part of the main machine. Avoid solvents on plastic parts.
- Ensure ventilation openings are kept clear of debris.
- To remove the brush, depress both Brush Roller Buttons (B).
- Replacement brushes (116mm) are available. Contact support@domu.co.uk or visit www.vonhaus.com.
- Fitting larger brushes may cause the product to overheat.
- Allow the machine to cool down before storing.
- Store the machine in a dry, level area away from damp, moisture, and rain.
- Store indoors or in a protected area during severe weather.
- DO NOT store the machine near ignition sources.
