2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2.1 Overview

The VX-100RM-EA is an IP remote microphone with functions for initiating general zone broadcasts and emergency broadcasts. It can also trigger preset broadcasting tasks by pressing buttons.

3.2 Installation Instructions

When adding extra expansion units, users can use extension cables and connecting brackets to secure the parts.

Required accessories: Required accessories are included with the random accessories.

Step 1: Place the VX-100RM-EA and RM-110VX-EA close to each other.

Step 2: Connect the two units with the extension wire.

Step 3: Use 4 of the provided screws and Connecting bracket B to tie the two units together.

Step 4: Using the remaining 8 screws and two Connecting bracket A units, secure the two units together.

4. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 VX-1000 Configuration Tool Operating Instructions

4.1.1 Software Installation

Double-click the VX-1000 installer and press "Next" to install. After installation is complete, select "Run as administrator" to launch the software.

4.1.2 Basic Parameter Settings

(1) New project file: Click "File" > "New" in the main interface, enter the project name in the pop-up dialog box, and create a new project file. After creation, settings such as system name and screen display can be made on the "Basic Settings" interface.

(2) Add device: In the "Device List" interface, add devices and set their IP addresses. Configurations are saved automatically.

(3) Matrix extended partition configuration: Set the number of matrix extended partition extenders (VX-1010ZE-EA). If not connected, this parameter does not need to be set. A maximum of 16 partition extenders can be added. Configurations are saved automatically.

(4) Device Configuration: After a device is added, input and output channel names, and control input/output channel names can be customized in the device configuration interface. Configurations are saved automatically.

(5) Create a media library: Click the "Add" button in the "Media Library" to add audio files (used as broadcast sources). Configurations are saved automatically.

(6) Broadcast List Setting: Set the broadcast audio file playlist (audio files must be added in the "Media Library" beforehand). Configurations are saved automatically.

(7) Set audio source priority: Set the audio source type (BGM/Business/Emergency) and priority for device input channels and playlists. Configurations are saved automatically.

(8) Set Group: On the "Grouping Setting" interface, multiple zones can be combined into one group.

(9) Control output: Enter the name for the Control output and check the control output to be added. Configurations are saved automatically.

(10) Set the broadcast pattern: Set the broadcast pattern, used for mode selection in schedule broadcast and control broadcast. Configurations are saved automatically.

4.1.3 Set the timer to start broadcasting

On the "Schedule Broadcast Settings" interface, set the task name, broadcast pattern, cycle type, start time, etc. When the device reaches the specified time, it will start the specified broadcast pattern.

4.1.4 Set control to start broadcasting

On the "Event Broadcast Settings" interface, set the task name, broadcast pattern, and control input. When the device's control input is triggered, the specified broadcast mode will be activated.

4.1.5 Set button to start broadcast

On the "Matrix Settings" interface, set the broadcast pattern corresponding to the [Preset 1]-[Preset 3] keys of the matrix controller. Pressing the device's [Preset 1]-[Preset 3] key starts the specified broadcast pattern.

4.1.6 Set remote microphone function

On the "Remote Settings" interface, configure the remote microphone.

4.1.7 Upload configuration

After parameters are modified and saved, click [Communication] > [Upload], check the relevant device in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the "Upload" button to upload the configured data file to the specified device for it to take effect.

4.1.8 Volume Adjustment

During broadcasting, the volume can be adjusted using the Volume +/- buttons. The volume level is indicated by the Volume status lights. The range is typically from 0 to 15dB, adjusted in 1dB increments. The status lights indicate maximum (red) or minimum (red) levels.

4.1.9 Microphone Bar Settings

Settings for the microphone bar input, including volume control and potential gain adjustments.

4.2 Zone broadcasting

Prerequisites: Relevant configuration must be completed, the IP Remote Microphone function key must be set up as "zone pattern", and the configuration uploaded to the corresponding device.

4.2.1 General zone broadcasting

Step 1: Manually press the zone button to select the zone; the corresponding key's zone light will be always on green (?).

Step 2: Press the broadcast button to start broadcasting. After initiating the broadcast, the status light of the associated zone is always on orange (?).

Step 3: Call the specified zone (microphone input) or play the external sound source (line input). The device defaults to microphone pole input; press the sound source switch button to switch to line input, and press again to resume the default.

Step 4: Press the broadcast key again to end the broadcast. The broadcasting light, associated status light, and area light will all turn off.

Note: If the device is set to PTT mode, when talking, it is necessary to press and hold the broadcast key continuously. Releasing the key ends the broadcast.

4.2.2 Emergency broadcast

Step 1: Press the emergency broadcast key on the microphone; the emergency broadcast light is always on red (?).

Step 2: Press the zone button to select the zone; the zone light of the corresponding button is always on green (?).

Step 3: Press the broadcast button to start broadcasting. After successfully initiating broadcast, the status light of the associated zone is always on red (?), and the broadcasting light is always on green (?).

Step 4: Call the specified area (microphone input) or play the external sound source (line input).

Step 5: Press the broadcast key again to end the broadcast. The broadcasting light, associated status light, and area light will all turn off.

Note: If the device is set to PTT mode, when talking, it is necessary to press and hold the broadcast key continuously. Releasing the key ends the broadcast.

4.3 Preset broadcasting

Prerequisites: Relevant configuration must be completed, the IP Remote Microphone function key must be set up as "broadcast pattern", and the configuration uploaded to the corresponding device.

4.3.1 Preset BGM broadcast

Step 1: Press the configured task key. The corresponding zone light is always on green (?), the broadcast status light is always on orange (?), and the corresponding zone's speaker will play the preset broadcast.

Step 2: Press the configured Task button again to stop broadcasting. All relevant lights will turn off.

4.3.2 Preset emergency broadcast

Step 1: Press the configured task key. The corresponding zone light is always on green (?), the broadcasting status light is always on red (?), and the corresponding zone's speaker will play the preset broadcast.

Step 2: The corresponding zone's speaker will play the preset broadcast.

4.4 Trigger control output task.

Prerequisites: Relevant configuration must be completed, the IP Remote Microphone function key must be set up as "control output pattern", and the configuration uploaded to the corresponding device.

Step 1: Press the configured task key. The corresponding zone light is always on green (?), the broadcast status light is always on orange (?), and the corresponding control output will be closed to execute the specified task.

Step 2: Press the configured Task button again to disconnect the control output port. At the same time, all relevant lights turn off.

4.5 Monitoring tasks

Prerequisites: The device configuration has been carried out in the VX-1000 configuration tool. The remote control microphone button function is configured as "monitor mode" and uploaded to the corresponding device.

Step 1: Press the configured task key. The corresponding zone light is always on green (?), the broadcast status light is always on orange (?), and the corresponding zone's speaker will output the voice of the corresponding output channel.

Step 2: Press the configured Task button again to stop monitoring. All relevant lights will turn off.
