Creative Project: Belt Bag Tutorial

Learn how to create a stylish belt bag (approx. L22 x H12 x W9 cm) with this step-by-step guide.

Materials: Cotton fabric (floral, pink), velvet ribbon, zipper, webbing, buckle, interfacing, thread.

Tools: Sewing machine, iron, scissors, measuring tape, chalk/marker, pins.

Key Steps:

1. Cut fabric and interfacing pieces according to pattern.
2. Apply interfacing to fabric pieces using an iron (do not slide). Allow to cool.
3. Attach the zipper to the main bag exterior and lining pieces.
4. Prepare the straps: Attach velvet ribbon to webbing straps and stitch securely. Cut into desired lengths.
5. Attach the prepared straps to the exterior of the bag.
6. Sew the bag lining pieces together, leaving a turning opening.
7. Join the exterior bag pieces and the lining.
8. Turn the bag right side out through the opening, carefully shape seams, and press.
9. Close the turning opening neatly.
10. Adjust the belt width using the buckle and rings.
