KRABB Mirror System Assembly Instructions
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA KRABB mirror system. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning.
Important Note on Wall Mounting Hardware
Screws for fixing to the wall are not included as wall materials vary. For advice on suitable screw systems, please contact your local specialised dealer or a hardware store.
Product Components
The KRABB system includes the following main components:
- Mirror panels (not explicitly described in steps, but implied)
- Circular mounting bases with prongs (16x)
- Circular mounting bases with screw holes (16x)
- Associated screws and fasteners (implied, to be supplied by user)
Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Mirror Panels
Take a mirror panel. Using a screwdriver, attach the mirror to the frame or mounting bracket. This action is performed twice (2x) per mirror panel.
Step 2: Determine Wall Spacing
Measure the required distance between the points where the mirrors will be mounted on the wall. The recommended spacing between mounting points is 404 mm (15 7/8 inches).
Step 3: Attach First Set of Wall Mounts
Take the circular mounting hardware (part number 105473). Affix these bases to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs (which you must provide based on your wall type). The diagram shows screws being inserted into the base before wall attachment.
Step 4: Mount Mirrors to Wall Brackets
Align a prepared mirror panel with the wall-mounted hardware. Secure the mirror by attaching the circular mounting bases with prongs to the wall-mounted bases, ensuring the mirror is held firmly in place.
Step 5: Prepare Additional Wall Mounts
Repeat the process from Step 3 to attach more mounting hardware (part number 105473) to the wall for any additional mirror panels you intend to install.
Step 6: Final Mirror Securing
Attach the remaining mirror panels to their respective wall mounts. Use the second type of circular mounting hardware (part number 105474) to secure the mirrors. The diagram indicates a tightening action, possibly a 4x rotation, to ensure a firm and stable fit.
