FLO Grow Cabinet System User Manual
This manual provides instructions for the FLO Grow Cabinet System, covering versions 2.0 and QUANTUM.
Introduction
Welcome to the FLO Grow Cabinet System. This guide will help you set up, operate, and optimize your grow environment.
Cabinet Overview and Components
The FLO Grow Cabinet is designed for controlled indoor plant cultivation. Below are the key components and their functions:
- 1. Exhaust fan: Provides ventilation and cooling.
- 2. Exhaust ducts: Channel air from the heat sink cooling the lamp.
- 3. Exhaust fan speed regulator: Adjusts the speed of the exhaust fan.
- 4. Flowering mode switch (version 2.0) / Lamp power regulator (version QUANTUM): Controls specific modes or lamp intensity.
- 5. Power socket: For connecting electrical devices.
- 6. Wi-Fi driver cover: Houses the Wi-Fi connectivity module.
- 7. Cooling air intake: Allows fresh air to enter for cooling the lamp and electronics.
- 8. Lamp power regulator: Adjusts the power output of the grow light.
The interior of the cabinet features:
- Lamp: The primary light source for plant growth. It should be kept clean and at least 15 cm away from plants.
- Upper correction net: Used to guide plant growth, spread branches, and support buds during flowering and drying.
- Lower correction net: Assists in managing plant structure during the growing season, often used with techniques like LST (Low-Stress Training). Branches can be attached to the net with zip ties if they grow too high.
- Flowering pot: The container for the plant's substrate (soil or coconut). It should be filled up to 3/4 capacity. Initial watering should be light and infrequent, increasing as the plant matures. The plant will indicate its need for water by drooping leaves.
Initial Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully for safe and proper setup:
- Before receiving the cabinet, prepare scissors to remove securing belts from the palette.
- Remove the upper part of the carton and any glued back keys.
- Move the cabinet to its desired location. Exercise caution during transport. The top of the box is secured with gray tapes that should only be removed after the cabinet is safely in place and standing upright.
- Place the cabinet vertically. Open the door with the key. Pull out the wheels and the power cord.
- Gently lay the cabinet on its side. Mount the wheels using a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Return the cabinet to its upright position.
- Remove the gray tapes protecting the countertop.
- Position the cabinet so its back is at least 10 cm away from the wall, ensuring inlets and outlets are not obstructed.
- All knob and regulator settings are pre-configured.
Environmental Control:
- In very hot rooms, increasing the exhaust fan speed (potentiometer No. 3) is recommended.
- Reduce fan speed in low ambient temperatures or for quieter operation.
- Monitor internal cabinet temperature; reduced fan speed can increase humidity and temperature. Increasing fan speed can also increase carbon dioxide levels, benefiting flowering plants.
- Light intensity can be adjusted using potentiometer No. 8 (version 2.0) or No. 4 (version QUANTUM). A small screwdriver is needed for version 2.0 adjustments. This feature is for advanced users; the regulator is typically set to maximum. Light intensity can be reduced during the growing season to save electricity.
Smart Control with eWeLink Application
The FLO Grow Cabinet can be controlled via the eWeLink application.
Getting Started
START!
Plug the power cord into the socket, open the Wi-Fi driver cover, and pair FLO GROW with your home network.
Download and install the eWeLink application from the PLAY store or APP STORE. Register an account. The application is free.
Driver Pairing
Follow these steps to pair your device:
- Remove the driver cover and press the pairing button for 7 seconds until the blue LED flashes 3 times and stays on alternately.
- In the eWeLink application, click the '+' icon at the bottom of the screen to search for the device.
- Select the "Quick pairing" option.
- Enter your home Wi-Fi SSID and password.
- The device will be registered by eWeLink and added to your account, which may take 1-3 minutes.
- If pairing fails, try turning your smartphone off and on, or toggling your phone's Wi-Fi network. Return to step 1.
- Name the device as desired; "FLO GROW" is suggested.
- The device may appear "Offline" initially as it connects to the router and server. Once the LED turns blue, it is "Online". If it remains "Offline", restart the eWeLink application.
Driver Settings
Access device settings by clicking on the device in the app, then selecting the configuration option (three dots in the upper right corner).
To configure the power-on state:
- Find the "Power-on State" function.
- Select "Last state" (Android) or "RESUME" (iOS).
- Click "Save". This setting determines the device's state after a power outage or physical power-off.
Timer Programming (Schedule)
You can program the light schedule using the "Schedule" function in the eWeLink app.
- Click the "Schedule" icon.
- Press the '+' button in the top right corner to add a new schedule entry.
- Set the desired switch-on time. Select the "Repeat" option and choose all days of the week. Set the "Action" to "ON". Press "Save".
- Press '+' again to set the turn-off time. In "Repeat", select all days of the week. Set the "Action" to "OFF". Press "Save".
The sample time settings provided are suitable for autoflowering strains or photoperiod strains during the vegetation stage. For photoperiod plants requiring a bloom phase, adjust the light turn-on time to 12:00 o'clock.
Conclusion
Congratulations! Your system is now programmed. The light will automatically turn on and off according to your set schedule. You can monitor conditions and adjust the lighting schedule within the application, even when away from home.
Support and Resources:
For remote control and support, you can contact customer support. Useful instructional videos for the system are available on the FLO YouTube channel: youtube.com/channel/UCrdVXnGlaAaptmPnbmflTWQ/videos
For communication and further assistance, the secure Wickrme application is recommended (available on iOS and Android). The application is secure and encrypted. Wickrme can help with your cultivation questions. Install the Wickrme application and contact user "adamzbrzezny6".
