Govee H5160 Smart Outdoor Plug User Manual

At a Glance

The Govee Smart Outdoor Plug features a fireproof and anti-UV case with fixing holes. It includes a Wi-Fi Indicator, an On/Off Indicator, and an On/Off Button. The device allows users to remotely turn home appliances on or off via a network-connected mobile phone or by pressing the button directly on the device.

The plug can be hung using cable ties or laid on the ground. Avoid using adapters larger than 10cm to prevent interference with the holes.

What You Need:

Steps:

  1. Download the Govee Home app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices).
  2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  3. Open the app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner and search for "H5160".
  4. Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

The device supports voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant. Refer to the "Using guidance" within the Govee Home app to activate this feature.

  1. Open the Govee Home app, select your Wi-Fi plug in the Devices page.
  2. Tap the setting icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap "Using guidance" to follow on-screen instructions.

Troubleshooting

Fail to connect to Wi-Fi:

  1. Ensure the distance between the device and the router is less than 100ft.
  2. Keep as few obstructions (e.g., walls, windows) as possible between the device and the router.
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi name and the password entered are correct.
  4. Ensure the Wi-Fi connected to is 2.4GHz. 5GHz is not supported.

Lost Wi-Fi connection / Cannot use the device with the app:

  1. Ensure your home Wi-Fi works well.
  2. Check whether the Wi-Fi password has been modified.
  3. Keep as few obstructions (e.g., walls, windows) as possible between the device and the router.
  4. Check whether the device has connected to Wi-Fi by the indicator. If the indicator is red, re-connect the device to Wi-Fi as steps mentioned above.
