- Sound power level (LwA): 102.5 dB(A) (K uncertainty: 5 dB)
Warning: Wear ear-muffs ?. Noise impact can cause hearing damage.
Vibration Emission Values
Determined in accordance with EN 62841 (vector sum of three directions):
- Drilling in metal: ah = 4.67 m/s² (K uncertainty: 1.5 m/s²)
- Hammer drilling in concrete: ah,ID = 12.76 m/s² (K uncertainty: 1.5 m/s²)
Note: Vibration and noise emission levels may vary with actual use. Keep noise and vibrations to a minimum by using well-maintained appliances, regular servicing, adapting working style, avoiding overload, switching off when not in use, and wearing protective gloves.
Residual Risks
Even with correct use, residual risks exist:
- Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask is used.
- Hearing damage if no suitable ear protection is used.
- Health damage from hand-arm vibrations with prolonged use or improper handling.
Limit operating time.
Before Starting the Equipment
- Charge the battery pack with the supplied charger.
- Use only sharp drill bits and screwdriver bits suitable for the purpose and in faultless condition.
- Always check for concealed electric cables and gas/water pipes when drilling or screwing in walls.
Operation
Charging the Battery Pack (Fig. 2-3)
- Remove the battery pack (5) by pressing the pushlock buttons (8).
- Check that your mains voltage matches the charger's rating plate. Plug the charger (6) into the mains socket; the green LED will flash.
- Push the battery pack onto the charger.
Refer to Section 10 "Charger indicator" for LED explanations. If the battery does not charge, check socket voltage and charger contact. If issues persist, return charger and battery pack to Customer Service. When shipping/disposing of batteries, pack them individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits.
Battery Care: Recharge promptly when power drops to ensure long service life.
Torque Setting (Fig. 4 / Item 1)
Important: Set torque with the setting ring (1) only when the tool is at a standstill. The correct torque depends on material type/hardness, screw type/length, and joint requirements. The clutch disengages with a grating sound when torque is reached.
Selector Switch for Driving/Drilling/Impact Drilling (Fig. 4 / Item 11)
- Screw position: For driving screws. Torque adjusted via torque setting (1).
- Bit position: For drilling. Slip coupling is off; maximum torque is available.
- Hammer position: For impact drilling. Slip coupling is off; maximum torque is available.
Important: Change torque setting (1) and selector switch (11) only when the equipment is at a standstill.
Forward/Reverse Switch (Fig. 5 / Item 3)
Selects rotation direction (clockwise/anticlockwise) and locks the switch when in the center position. Change direction only when the tool is at a standstill to avoid gearing damage.
On/Off Switch (Fig. 5 / Item 4)
Allows infinitely variable speed control. Press further for higher speed.
Changing Over from 1st to 2nd Gear (Fig. 4 / Item 7)
Change gears only when the tool has stopped to avoid damaging the gear unit.
Battery Capacity Indicator (Fig. 6 / Item 2)
Press the indicator switch (a). 3 LEDs show charge status:
- 3 LEDs lit: Fully charged.
- 2 or 1 LED lit: Adequate charge remaining.
- 1 LED blinking: Battery empty, recharge.
- All LEDs blinking: Battery pack is defective. Do not use or charge.
LED Lamp (Fig. 6 / Item 10)
Illuminates the work area. Lights up automatically when the ON/OFF switch (4) is pressed.
Changing the Tool (Fig. 7)
Important: Set the changeover switch (3) to the center position before changing tools or performing maintenance.
- The drill/screwdriver has a quick-action chuck (9) with automatic spindle stop.
- Open the chuck (9). Ensure the opening (a) is large enough for the tool (drill bit or screwdriver bit).
- Select the suitable tool and insert it as far as possible into the chuck opening (a).
- Tighten the chuck (9) and check that the tool is secure.
Screwdriving
Use self-centering screws (e.g., Torx, recessed head). Ensure the bit matches the screw size and shape. Set torque appropriately.
