Playback Control

You can manage playback directly from the speaker. Press Volume +/Next (2) or Volume -/Back (3) repeatedly to adjust the volume. Press and hold these buttons to switch to the next/previous track. A warning sound will indicate when the maximum or minimum volume levels are reached.

Press the Play/Pause button (1) to pause or resume playback.

Important: When using the Auxiliary audio input (9), playback control can only be managed from the connected music player.

Important: Refer to the TWS section for information on playback control when TWS mode is enabled.

Bluetooth Connection

Press the Change function button (4) until Bluetooth mode is selected while your Urban Box 2 is on. You can then pair the speaker with your smartphone or tablet.

Once "Urban Box 2" appears on your smartphone or tablet screen, press "connect". The devices will be connected immediately and without codes. You will hear a sound confirming successful pairing.

You can then start playback on your smartphone or tablet. The Bluetooth wireless connection range is up to 10 meters.

Your Urban Box 2 automatically connects to the last paired device when switched on again, provided Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet.

Important: Your Urban Box 2 will automatically turn off after 5 minutes if Bluetooth mode is enabled but not paired with any device.

Call Control (Hands-free function)

You can manage your calls from the speaker. Pair the Urban Box 2 with your smartphone first.

When you receive a call, the music stops, and the ringing tone sounds. Press the Call control button (1) to answer an incoming call. Press it again to hang up.

Important: If you receive a call while TWS mode is enabled, you will only hear the caller's voice through the speaker connected to your smartphone (left channel).*

Voice Assistant

The Urban Box 2 allows you to activate your smartphone's voice assistant. Press the Change function/TWS button (4) twice. This will directly activate your smartphone's assistant via Bluetooth.

This function allows you to ask questions and use voice commands to perform tasks naturally and easily.

You can also consult the Google Assistant and Siri user guides available on their manufacturers' websites.

TWS (True Wireless Stereo)

This feature allows you to wirelessly pair another Urban Box 2 to double the power and create a stereo sound system with two distinct channels: left (L) and right (R).

To use this function for the first time: turn on both Urban Box 2 speakers and press and hold the Change Function/TWS button (4) on both for 2 seconds. After a few seconds, you will hear a sound confirming successful synchronization. Then, enable Bluetooth on your source device and connect your "Urban Box 2".

Music will now play via Bluetooth through both speakers simultaneously, with one assigned to the left channel (L) and the other to the right channel (R).

The next time you turn on both speakers, they will pair automatically.

To disable TWS, press and hold the Change function/TWS button (4) on either speaker. Both speakers will disconnect. Press the same button again to reconnect them.

You can switch to the next/previous track and adjust the volume using the corresponding buttons on either speaker while TWS mode is enabled. Adjusting the volume on one speaker will adjust it on both simultaneously.

Important: This functionality is only available in Bluetooth mode. TWS connection is not possible in other playback modes (USB, microSD, FM radio, or line-in).

Auxiliary Audio Input

Your Urban Box 2 features an Auxiliary audio input (9) for connecting external devices using an audio cable.

Important: Music playback cannot be managed from the speaker when using this mode. You must use the connected music player.

FM Radio

Before using the FM radio function, a search for all available stations must be performed. The radio stations will be saved to the speaker's internal memory. A new search is not necessary each time you switch it on, unless you move the device to a new location or change the frequency of a saved station.

To initiate a search for all radio stations: press the Change function button (4) until FM radio mode appears on screen. Then, press and hold the Change function button (4) for 2 seconds. This process may take a few minutes. Once the search is complete, press and hold Volume +/Next (2) or Volume -/Back (3) to select the desired radio station from the saved list.

If you move the speaker to a different location, you will need to perform a new search to obtain proper radio wave reception.

Your Urban Box 2 will save the last selected radio station when turned off and on again.

Important: The battery charging process may interfere with radio signals depending on the AC/DC power adapter used.

MicroSD/USB Player

The device plays .mp3 and .wav files from microSD cards (up to 64 GB). Playback begins automatically a few seconds after inserting the microSD card or USB stick.

If you turn off the speaker or remove the storage unit, the internal memory will save the playback position. When you reconnect the same storage unit, music playback will resume from where you left off, playing the last song listened to.

Press and hold Volume +/Next (2) or Volume -/Back (3) to move to the next or previous song.

Press and hold the Change function button (4) to enable shuffle mode. You will hear a sound confirming this mode has been activated. Shuffle mode will be automatically disabled when the speaker is switched off.

The root folders and files on your external cards or sticks will be read in chronological order, and the songs within your folders will be read in alphabetical order.

Diagram Description: A diagram illustrates the reading order for files and folders. Folders are organized chronologically, and MP3 files within folders are organized alphabetically.
