Device Installation

The device can be placed on a table or mounted to the ceiling, the instructions are as follows:

Table Placement:

Place it on a flat table and ensure the infrared emitting area on the front of the product is not blocked by any objects. Do not place other objects around the device that block the infrared signal penetration. (A bracket is not needed when placing the device on a table).

Ceiling Mounting:

  1. Press the mounting bracket firmly against the ceiling and use a marker or similar tool to trace the screw holes to mark their location.
  2. Use a 4mm diameter drill bit to drill holes according to the marked positions, with a hole drilling depth of at least 27 mm.
  3. Use a tool to hammer the 4 expansion tubes into the drilled holes to ensure a flat surface.
  4. Lock the bracket into the expansion tube hole in the direction shown in the picture. If there is a power cable or Ethernet cable at the top, please thread the cables through the bracket wiring hole first, and then tighten the screws.
  5. Align the bracket at the bottom of the device with the bracket buckle, and push the product in the opposite direction of the bracket hooks until it is buckled tight. Make sure the power cable or Ethernet cable is properly connected before it is tightened.

Device Connecting & Initialization

1. Download the Aqara APP

Search for "Aqara Home" in the Apple App Store, Google Play, Xiaomi GetApps, Huawei App Gallery, or scan the QR code provided to download the Aqara Home App.

2. Set up the Hub

  1. Choose the installation location of the hub: the hub should be 2-6 meters away from the router, and avoid metal objects between the hub and router or around the hub.
  2. Select power supply port:
    • Type C: Please use a 5V=2A adapter (not included in the box) and a USB power cable (included in the box) to power the hub.
    • RJ45 PoE: Use a PoE-supported router or network switch and an RJ45 cable to power the hub.

When both Type C and RJ45 PoE power supply are connected, the device will prioritize power supply from the RJ45 PoE.

  3. Wait for the yellow indicator light on the hub to change from solid to flashing.
  4. Select the networking method:
    • Wireless connection: Connect your phone to a 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi network. After powering on the hub, open the Aqara Home APP and follow the instructions to complete the network configuration.
    • Wired connection: Using a wired network connection can effectively avoid connection instability caused by wireless interference in the environment. If possible, it is recommended to connect the hub via wired network. After powering on the hub, use an RJ45 cable to connect the hub's RJ45 port to a LAN port on your router. Enter the Aqara Home APP and follow the instructions to complete the network configuration.

3. Add the Product to the Aqara Home App

Open the Aqara Home app, tap “Home” and then tap “+” in the top right corner to enter the "Add Device (Accessory)" page. Select “Edge Hub M300”, and add it according to the instructions in the Aqara Home app. After a successful connection, the status indicator light will be solid blue.

This product is compatible with Aqara MagicPair technology and can be automatically discovered by the Aqara Home app when it is powered on and in pairing mode. Please select the device and follow the instructions in the app to complete the network configuration.

Please place your phone as close to the hub as possible when connecting, and make sure that the phone and the hub are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Trouble Shooting Pairing Failure

  1. After powering on, please press the function button for more than 10s until the yellow light flashes, then retry adding it in the APP.
  2. Check if your router has enabled settings that prevent unauthorized devices from connecting, as this may block the device from accessing the network properly.
  3. Check if your router has enabled AP isolation, preventing your phone from discovering the device within the local network.
  4. It is recommended not to connect to bridged networks.

Connecting to HomeKit

Open the Apple "Home" app, click "+" in the upper right corner to enter the Add Accessories page, scan or manually input the HomeKit setup code (HomeKit QR code) on the product's side, and bind the device to HomeKit.
