Unpack Generator
Remove generator, accessories, inserts, and literature from the carton. If any item is missing or damaged, contact the product service department at 855-888-3598.

DANGER: Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poison you cannot see or smell. NEVER use inside a home or garage, even if doors and windows are open. Only use OUTDOORS and away from doors, windows, and vents. Read the manual before use.
1. Battery Connection and Adding Lubricant and Fuel
Connecting the Battery
Remove the maintenance cover. Connect the battery to the generator using a quick-connect cable.
Adding Lubricant (Engine Oil)
Remove the oil fill/drain cover. Use a funnel to pour the provided engine oil into the engine. Fill to the upper mark of the oil dipstick (H).
Adding Fuel
Gasoline: Use clean, fresh, regular UNLEADED gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane.
Propane/LPG: Attach the LPG regulator to both the generator and the LPG cylinder.
2. Start Generator
Operation with Gasoline
- Ensure the generator is outdoors on a flat, level surface, away from doors, windows, and vents.
- Make sure the propane tank is fully closed (if applicable).
- Add gasoline to the fuel tank.
- Turn the battery switch to the "ON" (I) position.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the "ON" (O) position.
- Turn and hold the REMOTE START switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts, OR turn and hold the ENGINE START/STOP switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts.
- Alternatively, pull the recoil starter slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
- Plug in items to be powered, using only grounded extension cords.
Operation with Propane/LPG
- Ensure the generator is outdoors on a flat, level surface, away from doors, windows, and vents.
- Connect the LPG gas hose to the propane fuel source.
- Fully open the Propane/LPG cylinder knob.
- Turn the fuel valve knob to the "ON" position.
- Turn the battery switch to the "ON" (I) position.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the "ON" (O) position.
- Turn and hold the REMOTE START switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts, OR turn and hold the ENGINE START/STOP switch for 5 seconds until the engine starts.
- Alternatively, pull the recoil starter slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly.
- Plug in items to be powered, using only grounded extension cords.
3. Shutdown and Storage
- Remove any load from the generator.
- Push and hold "STOP" on the remote start key fob for 3 seconds, OR push and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for 3 seconds.
- Turn the fuel switch to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the fuel valve knob to the "OFF" position.
- Turn off the battery switch to the "OFF" position.
- If the generator is to be stored for longer than 30 days, refer to the operator's manual for further instructions.
4. Changing Fuels
Gasoline to Propane/LPG
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Ensure the propane tank is fully closed.
- Connect the LPG gas hose to the propane fuel source.
- Fully open the Propane/LPG cylinder knob.
- Turn the fuel valve knob to the "ON" position.
- Turn the battery switch to the "ON" (I) position.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the "ON" (O) position.
- Start the generator as described in Section 2.
Propane/LPG to Gasoline
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Make certain the propane tank is fully closed.
- Turn the fuel valve knob to the "OFF" position.
- Turn the battery switch to the "OFF" position.
- Add gasoline to the fuel tank.
- Turn the battery switch to the "ON" (I) position.
- Turn the starting dial switch to the "ON" (O) position.
- Start the generator as described in Section 2.
