Read this manual carefully before operating this generator. This manual should stay with this generator if it is sold.
Safety Instructions and Warnings
Using a generator indoors CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poison gas you cannot see or smell.
- NEVER use in the home or in partly enclosed areas such as garages.
- Only use OUTSIDE and far from open windows, doors, and vents.
! WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including arsenic and lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
! WARNING: Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas that could kill you in minutes. You CANNOT smell it, see it, or taste it. Even if you do not smell exhaust fumes, you could still be exposed to carbon monoxide gas.
- Operate this product ONLY outside, far away from windows, doors, and vents to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide gas accumulating and potentially being drawn towards occupied spaces.
- Install battery-operated carbon monoxide alarms or plug-in carbon monoxide alarms with battery back-up according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- DO NOT run this product inside homes, garages, basements, crawlspaces, sheds, or other partially-enclosed spaces, even if using fans or opening doors and windows for ventilation. Carbon monoxide can quickly build up in these spaces.
- ALWAYS place this product downwind and point the engine exhaust away from occupied spaces.
- If you start to feel sick, dizzy, or weak, shut it off and get to fresh air RIGHT AWAY. See a doctor; you may have carbon monoxide poisoning.
! WARNING: Fuel and its vapors are extremely flammable and explosive, which could cause burns, fire, or explosion resulting in death or serious injury and/or property damage.
- Turn generator engine OFF and let it cool at least 2 minutes before removing fuel cap. Loosen cap slowly to relieve pressure.
- Fill or drain fuel tank outdoors.
- Keep fuel away from sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat, and other ignition sources.
- DO NOT light a cigarette or smoke.
! WARNING: Starter cord kickback (rapid retraction) will pull hand and arm toward engine faster than you can let go, which could cause broken bones, fractures, bruises, or sprains resulting in serious injury.
- When starting engine, pull cord slowly until resistance is felt, then pull rapidly to avoid kickback.
- NEVER start or stop engine with electrical devices plugged in and turned on.
! WARNING: Generator voltage could cause electrical shock or burn resulting in death or serious injury.
- Use approved transfer equipment, suitable for the intended use, to prevent backfeed by isolating generator from electric utility workers.
- DO NOT operate generator in the rain or wet weather.
- DO NOT touch bare wires or receptacles.
- DO NOT use generator with electrical cords which are worn, frayed, bare or otherwise damaged.
- DO NOT handle generator or electrical cords while standing in water, while barefoot, or while hands or feet are wet.
- DO NOT allow unqualified persons or children to operate or service generator.
! WARNING: Exhaust heat/gases could ignite combustibles, structures or damage fuel tank causing a fire.
- DO NOT touch hot parts and AVOID hot exhaust gases.
- Allow equipment to cool before touching.
- It is a violation of California Public Resource Code, Section 4442, to use or operate the engine on any forest-covered, brush-covered, or grass-covered land unless the exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester.
! WARNING: Unintentional sparking could cause fire or electric shock resulting in death or serious injury.
- Disconnect the spark plug wire before making repairs.
- Use an approved spark plug tester; DO NOT check for spark with the spark plug removed.
! WARNING: Starter and other rotating parts could entangle hands, hair, clothing, or accessories resulting in serious injury.
- NEVER operate generator without protective housing or covers.
- DO NOT wear loose clothing, jewelry or anything that could be caught in the starter or other rotating parts. Tie up long hair and remove jewelry.
! WARNING: Excessively high operating speeds could result in minor injury. Excessively low operating speeds impose a heavy load.
- DO NOT tamper with governor spring, links or other parts to increase engine speed.
- DO NOT modify generator in any way.
NOTE: Exceeding generators wattage/amperage capacity could damage generator and/or electrical devices connected to it.
- DO NOT exceed the generator's wattage/amperage capacity.
- Start generator and let engine stabilize before connecting electrical loads.
- Connect electrical loads in OFF position, then turn ON for operation.
- Turn electrical loads OFF and disconnect from generator before stopping generator.
NOTE: Improper treatment of generator could damage it and shorten its life.
- Use generator only for intended uses.
- Operate generator only on level surfaces.
- DO NOT expose generator to excessive moisture, dust, dirt, or corrosive vapors.
- DO NOT insert any objects through cooling slots.
- Shut off generator if: Electrical output is lost; Equipment sparks, smokes, or emits flames; Unit vibrates excessively.
WARNING: Medical and Life Support Uses.
- In case of emergency, call 911 immediately.
- NEVER use this product to power life support devices or life support appliances.
- NEVER use this product to power medical devices or medical appliances.
- Inform your electricity provider immediately if your household depends on electrical equipment to live or if a loss of power would cause a medical emergency.

Control Panel
The control panel features various controls and indicators:
- Fuel Switch: Controls fuel flow.
- Choke: Aids in starting the engine, especially when cold.
- Parallel Operation Outlets: For connecting two A-iPOWER generators with a parallel kit for increased output.
- Indicator Light: Shows output status, overload alarm, and low oil alert.
- DC Circuit Breaker (9A): Protects DC circuits.
- DC 12V Outlets (8A): For DC power output.
- Grounding Nut: For connecting the generator to a grounding wire to reduce electric shock risk.
- AC 120V NEMA 5-20 Duplex Receptacles (20A): Standard outlets for 120V devices.
- AC 120V NEMA L5-30 Receptacle (30A): A higher amperage 120V outlet.
- Engine Switch: Turns the engine ON or OFF.
- Low Idle Mode: Engages to save fuel and reduce noise when the load is below 75%.
- DC 5V USB Outlets (1.5A): For charging USB devices.
- Data Center: Displays Voltage, Run Time, Frequency, Power, and Fuel level.

Low Idle Switch
The Low Idle Switch regulates engine speed and fuel consumption based on the electrical load, reducing fuel use and noise. Use only when the load is less than 75% of rated watts.
Parallel Operation
Connect two A-iPOWER generators using a parallel kit to double the available power. Follow instructions included with the kit.
Circuit Breakers
Circuit breakers protect individual AC and DC circuits. They will trip if outlets are overloaded. Reset by turning off the device and pressing the breaker.
Connecting Electrical Devices
CAUTION: Ensure devices are compatible with the generator's voltage (120V, 60 Hz, single phase AC). DO NOT connect 50Hz or 3-phase loads.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes to stabilize output before connecting devices.
- Connect the highest wattage device first, ensuring it is turned OFF. Turn the device ON and allow the generator to stabilize.
- Repeat for additional devices, connecting and stabilizing one at a time.
Generator Capacity
Ensure the generator can supply enough running (rated) and starting (max.) watts for all connected items. Starting wattage is the temporary surge needed for motors.
Example Calculation: Total Running Watts + Highest Additional Starting Watts = Total Starting Watts Needed.
NOTICE: Do not overload the generator's capacity.

Generator Preparation
Step 1 - Add/Check Oil
The generator is shipped without oil. Add the correct amount (20.2 fl. oz. / 0.6 L) before first use.
- Place generator on a level surface, engine OFF.
- Remove the oil access cover and oil dipstick.
- Using a funnel, slowly add oil to the oil fill until it reaches the upper fill line.
- Reinstall the dipstick and tighten. Wipe any spilled oil.
- Reinstall the oil access cover.
NOTE: Used engine oil should be disposed of properly at an approved site.
For subsequent operation, check oil level before each use or every 8 hours. The generator has a low-oil sensor.
Step 2 - Add/Check Fuel
! GASOLINE WARNING: Keep generator away from open flame. Gasoline vapors are flammable and explosive.
- Do not operate near open flame, heat, or ignition sources. Do not smoke.
- Always operate on a firm, level surface.
- Always turn generator OFF before refueling. Allow to cool for 2 minutes. Loosen cap slowly to relieve pressure.
- Do not overfill. Allow for expansion.
- Check for and clean up any spilled fuel before operating.
- Empty fuel tank before storing or transporting.
Use ONLY fresh (within 30 days), lead-free gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane rating. Ethanol-free gasoline is preferred. DO NOT use gasoline with over 10% ethanol. Fuel tank capacity is 2.6 US gallons (10.0 L). DO NOT mix oil with gasoline.
NOTICE: Never use old gasoline or oil/gasoline mixtures. Avoid dirt/water in the fuel tank. Gasoline can age and make starting difficult. Store with fuel for no more than 2 months.
Step 3 - Ground the Generator
To reduce the risk of electric shock, properly ground the generator.
Tighten the grounding nut on the front control panel against a grounding wire (e.g., No. 12 AWG stranded copper wire). Connect the other end to a grounding rod driven into the earth.
WARNING: Failure to properly ground increases the risk of electric shock.
High Altitude Operation Above 3000 Feet
Operation at altitudes above 3000 feet may require an altitude kit for optimal performance and emissions. Contact an authorized service center for details.
Starting the Generator
Before starting, ensure generator is outside, grounded, has sufficient oil and fuel, and all electrical devices are unplugged.
- Turn the LOW IDLE switch to “OFF”.
- Turn the FUEL switch to the “ON” position.
- Pull the CHOKE LEVER out to the "START" position (skip if engine is warm).
- Turn the ENGINE switch to the “ON” position.
- Hold the generator, pull the recoil starter handle slowly until resistance is felt, then pull quickly. Return cord gently.
- When the engine starts, push the CHOKE LEVER in to the "RUN" position.
Shutting Off the Generator
CAUTION: Never stop the engine with electrical devices connected and running.
- Turn off all electrical devices before unplugging them.
- Allow the generator to run at no load for a few minutes to stabilize internal temperatures.
- Turn the ENGINE switch to the “OFF” position.
- Turn the FUEL switch to the “OFF” position.
WARNING: Allow the generator to cool down before touching hot parts.
CAUTION: Storing with fuel for extended periods (over 2 months) can make starting difficult.
Maintenance
Proper routine maintenance prolongs generator life. Always turn OFF the generator and allow it to cool before performing maintenance.

* Clean/change more often under dusty conditions or heavy load.
Important Generator Maintenance Tips:
- Drain carburetor after each use and before storage to prevent clogging.
- Do not store with fuel for more than 2 months; fuel will go bad.
- Run generator for at least 20 minutes monthly to charge the battery and maximize lifespan.
NOTE: Failure to properly maintain the generator will void the warranty.
Air Filter Maintenance
Check every 50 hours. Clean the foam air filter element by washing in soapy water, drying, and adding a few drops of engine oil. Replace if damaged.
Spark Plug Maintenance
Ensure the spark plug is properly gapped (0.7 - 0.8 mm / 0.028 - 0.031 in) and clean. Replace if cracked, chipped, or worn.
Spark Arrestor Maintenance
Inspect and clean every 100 hours. Remove, clean carbon deposits with a brush, and reinstall. Replace if damaged.
Draining the Fuel Tank / Carburetor
To prevent gum deposits, drain fuel before storing.
- Place generator on an elevated platform.
- Remove maintenance cover.
- For fuel tank: Turn fuel switch to "ON". For carburetor: Turn fuel switch to "OFF".
- Locate the transparent drain tube from the carburetor.
- Direct the tube into a gasoline-storage container.
- Open carburetor drain screw and drain fuel. Tighten screw after draining.
NOTE: Drain carburetor before storing for long periods.
Draining/Changing Oil
Change oil according to the schedule, or more often under heavy load/high temperatures. Changing when warm allows complete drainage.
- Place generator on an elevated platform.
- Remove oil access cover.
- Place a container underneath to catch used oil.
- Remove the black rubber seal below the oil drain plug.
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Use a wrench to remove the oil drain plug and drain oil completely.
- Reinstall the oil drain plug and rubber seal.
- Refill with engine oil as per instructions.
- Reinstall dipstick and oil access cover.
NOTE: Never dispose of used engine oil in trash or down a drain. Contact a local recycling center or auto garage for proper disposal.
Transportation & Storage
Transporting the Generator
To prevent fuel spillage:
- Tighten fuel cap and turn vacuum relief valve to “OFF”.
- Set engine switch to “OFF”.
- Drain fuel tank if possible.
- Keep generator upright.
WARNING: Avoid direct sunlight inside a vehicle; high temperatures can cause fuel vaporization and explosion.
Storing the Generator
Shut off and cool the generator before storing. Do not place storage cover on a hot unit. Do not obstruct ventilation openings.
- For Short Periods (30 to 60 Days): Drain carburetor, disconnect battery, add fuel stabilizer and run engine for 15-20 minutes.
- For Extended Periods (Over 60 Days): Disconnect battery, drain fuel tank and carburetor. NEVER store with fuel for more than 2 months. Change engine oil.
WARNING: Store upright in a cool, dry location away from heat, open flames, sparks, or pilot lights.
Product Disposal
Dispose of electrical/electronic components responsibly at a recycling facility. Do not dispose of used oil or fuel in trash or down a drain. Contact your local recycling center or auto garage for proper oil/fuel disposal.
Troubleshooting Guide
Engine Will Not Start

Warranty Information
Limited Warranty
A-iPower Corp. warrants the product against defects in material and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase for Consumer use (residential household use) and 1 year for Commercial use (business, industrial, rental). The warranty covers repair, replacement parts, or replacement of defective components.

Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Regular wear and tear.
- Improper installation, unauthorized assembly, alteration, modification, misuse, or neglect.
- Normal maintenance parts (spark plugs, air filters, etc.) or service due to obstructions.
- Cosmetic defects, damage from non-original parts, or acts of God.
Warranty Limits and Consequential Damages
A-iPower is not liable for loss of time, use, freight costs, or other incidental/consequential damages. This warranty provides specific legal rights that may vary by state.
Merchandise Return Guidelines
- Products must be returned in original or equivalent packaging.
- Ensure adequate packing for transportation.
- Federal Law requires machines using gasoline/oil to be drained completely prior to shipment.
- Gas caps and oil plugs must be left off for 24 hours prior to shipping.
- Returns must be authorized and sent to the provided address.
- Refunds are not granted for modified or damaged items due to abuse or improper usage.
