Weight Scale Setup

1. Battery Activation or Installation

For first use, if batteries are installed, pull the plastic pull tab from the battery door located on the back of the scale.

If batteries are not installed, open the battery door on the back of the scale. Install batteries according to the polarity markings inside the battery case.

Note: After installing batteries, close the battery cover. Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for more than 3 months.

2. Weight Unit Conversion

The unit conversion button is located at the bottom of the scale. Gently step on the scale to turn it on. Press the button to select either LB (pounds) or KG (kilograms). The selected unit will be displayed on the LED display.

Note: The scale displays KG and LB units. The app offers ST:LB (stone:pound) units. If the app is set to ST:LB, the scale may not synchronize correctly.

3. Download and Set up the Application

A. Go to the "App Store" or "Google Play" and search for "MovingLife" to download the application. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code with your phone.

B. Open the "MovingLife" app. We recommend starting with a Visitor account to store data locally on your phone, which best protects your privacy.

C. Follow the app's setup process. Tap "Start" and the app will guide you through saving your data.

D. Add the Weight Scale device. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on your phone. Tap "IB-A3" (or similar model name) when prompted to add the scale.

E. Allow "MovingLife" to use Bluetooth when prompted.

F. For iOS users, allow "MovingLife" to access Apple Health and write Weight data. Use the same email address connected to your Virgin Pulse account.

G. For Android users, navigate to "Me" > "Settings" and enable Google Fit. Use the same email address connected to your Virgin Pulse account.

H. After taking a measurement with the "MovingLife" app open, your data will sync to your Virgin Pulse account within minutes, provided your accounts are linked.

I. Congratulations! Setup is complete.

Note on Data Sharing: If you missed setting up data sharing with Apple Health, Google Fit, or Fitbit during initial setup, you can enable it later via the "Me" > "Settings" menu in the "MovingLife" app.

4. Store data on cloud - not recommended

To store data in the cloud, open the app, turn on Bluetooth, sign up for an account, and follow the setup guidelines. The scale must be on to connect.

Measurements can be saved in your account history. If you do not receive an authenticode email, check your spam/junk folder. Allow the app to write data to Apple Health or Google Fit when prompted, and allow it to use Bluetooth.

Tips: Ensure your personal information is accurate for comprehensive scientific guidance. App interfaces may vary due to updates; refer to the current app display.

Start Measurement

1. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface (not on carpet or mat) with the "MovingLife" app open on your phone. Placing the scale on carpet may lead to inaccurate measurements or tipping.

2. Gently step on the scale. The scale will automatically turn on.

3. Stand evenly on the scale without moving. Wait until the displayed weight is stable and flashes three times, indicating your final measurement. Your weight and BMI results will appear in the app.

The scale is ready for use when the display shows "0.0 lb".

Visual Guide:

• Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
• Gently step on the scale; it will turn on automatically.
• Show your results in the App.

Warning Indications

• Calibration: "Err" - An error has occurred. Please re-test to get the correct result.
• Over-load Indication: "Lo" - The weight on the platform exceeds the scale's maximum capacity. Please step off to avoid damage.
• Low Battery Indication: The battery power is low. Please replace the battery with a new one.

Advise for Use & Care

1. Do not use the scale in humid or overheated environments (recommended temperature range: 41°F to 95°F / 5°C to 35°C).
2. Stand steadily on the scale. Stepping on the edge may cause tipping and a fall.
3. Do not drop, shock, or strike the scale, as it is a precise instrument.
4. Keep the scale clean. Do not use acid-based cleaning agents.
5. Avoid using the scale on surfaces with intense vibration. Stand firmly on the scale during use.
6. If the battery runs out, remove it promptly to prevent leakage and potential corrosion of the scale.

The accompanying app can graph your weight results, enabling you to monitor trends over time. Download the "MovingLife" app to utilize the Bluetooth scale and begin your weight management journey.

If this equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
