Optical Measurements
Accurate Analysis for High-Capacity Networks
This device is equipped with an optical receiver (selective or non-selective version) that allows measurement of power and attenuation at wavelengths of 1310nm, 1490nm, and 1550nm. The combination of the selective option with the triple light generator (OPS3L) enables professional calibration of information and telecommunications networks. The optical connector is SC/APC type, and the scope of delivery includes a set of optical accessories that ensure flexibility with other connector types.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying optical measurement results, showing power levels at different wavelengths (1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm).
Services and IPTV Analyzer (*)
Information on IPTV and RF Services. It allows demodulation and analysis of IPTV streams (both Unicast and Multicast), not only through video display but also by showing the total bitrate and bitrate for each available service. Relevant information for each service is also included: SID, VPID, AID, Video Profile, Bitrate for Audio and Video. Additionally, this option complements RF measurements, as all this information is analyzed by service for these types of signals as well. For IPTV signals, specific protocol measurements (UDP/RTP) are also performed, such as UDP format, Media Loss Rate, Lost IP Frames.
(*) Optional additional function: Ref. 593251 (Art. No. H30EUP-IPTV)
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying IPTV analysis data, including packet loss, bitrate, and service information.
Wi-Fi Analyzer (*)
All Bands (2.4 and 5 GHz). This functionality allows for a complete analysis of the Wi-Fi band for automatic detection of all networks. Each is identified by name, and the signal strength at the access point is also displayed. Two display modes are available. The "List" mode presents a list of detected networks with their associated data and signal strengths, while the "Map" mode displays them on a two-axis map: Signal Strength vs. Frequency.
(*) Optional equipment: Ref. 593250 (Art. No. H30EUP-WIFI)

Return Channel Measurement
From 5 MHz
The ability to measure the return channel from 5 MHz is very useful for cable installation technicians. By displaying the signal in the spectrum and measuring power and C/N, it is possible to ensure good status and quality of the upload data transmitted on this bandwidth.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying return channel (5 MHz) spectrum analysis with power and C/N levels.
The Traffic Light Display
Make Decisions Easily. Easily and uncomplicatedly identify installation errors with the traffic light display. This is a graphical representation that simplifies and optimizes the interpretation of measurement results. Depending on the network to be analyzed, various quality profiles are available: LNB, distribution point, headend, subscriber outlet, etc. Personal values can be entered in addition to the preset values.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying a traffic light indicator (red, yellow, green) for signal quality assessment.
Channel Information
Less is more.
Channel Information
Sometimes, a quick glance at a channel is all that's needed. This H30Crystal functionality, measuring a single channel, automatically detects the channel type and displays the corresponding data: level, C/N, and quality measurements based on the digital signal type. All these measurements are performed with a single button press. This allows all indicators to be activated and the traffic light display (good/bad) to be shown based on the user's set values. Results that are easy to interpret, even for less experienced technicians.
System Scan
Installation Monitoring
Every existing analog and digital channel is scanned in real-time to check the entire frequency range. This function uses thresholds (depending on the measurement point in the network) to clearly indicate whether the signal level meets the planning or network specification, using green, yellow, and red bar indicators. This provides a clear, understandable, and quick overview of signal distribution in real-time, in addition to the BER and MER values of the selected channel.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying system scan results across the frequency range, with color-coded indicators for signal levels.
Spectrum Analyzer
From 5MHz to "Full Span"
The H30Crystal's spectrum analyzer offers a range from 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 MHz, and Full Span, along with automatic reference level adjustment. Real-time signal processing ensures fast spectrum capture. The precision and detail of the portable spectrum analyzer are impressive. It is the ultimate tool for identifying and locating noise, interference, and other signals that could affect the quality of the TV signal distribution network.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal spectrum analyzer interface, showing signal power across a frequency span.
Guided Satellite Alignment
Automatic LNB Configuration
This functionality speeds up antenna alignment. Depending on the region, the analyzer presets a typical satellite and its corresponding transponder, and the LNB connection is pre-configured accordingly. An acoustic signal can also be activated to assist the user acoustically in aligning the satellite antenna. The reference satellite can be manually changed, and a new antenna alignment can be started.
Supports WideBand LNB Technology
From 250 to 2300 MHz. This functionality for DVB-S/S2 allows for the complete analysis of a satellite channel at any frequency within the range of 250 MHz to 2300 MHz. Thus, the analyzer can be directly connected to the output of a Wideband LNB (2 outputs: Vertical and Horizontal).
MPEG
MPEG Video and Detail Information. With the H30Crystal's MPEG function, it is possible to see what content is on a digital channel. In addition to video displays, other important parameters can be retrieved: Service Name, PID, Resolution, available Audio Tracks, and NIT information.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying MPEG video content and associated service information.
4K/UHD Playback on the Analyzer and Mobile Device
This functionality supports the HEVC H.265 compression format and allows the display of video signals with a maximum 4K/UHD resolution (3840 x 2160). The information can be displayed on both the analyzer screen and the mobile device (Multiscreen mode), provided your hardware is H.265 compatible (typically a latest-generation smartphone, tablet, or PC).
Image: Image showcasing the 4K/UHD resolution capability of the Televes H30Crystal, with '4K ULTRA HD' branding.
Constellation Diagram
Digital Fine-Tuning
The constellation diagram is essential for determining the quality of digital signals. It helps identify humming, phase jitter, interference, and signal saturation – all variables that affect signal quality and could lead to signal degradation. By visually inspecting the size and shape of the points in the constellation matrix, a technician can easily determine the cause of the problem.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying a constellation diagram for digital signal tuning.
Measurement by Plan
Customized Channel Plans
With the ultra-fast "Measurement Plan" function, it is immediately possible to check which channels are present in the distribution network. Subsequently, a custom channel plan can be created containing only the channels of interest. Furthermore, each channel is displayed in color in a bar chart corresponding to its selected quality profile.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying a measurement plan with channel information and quality indicators.
Echo
Optimal Signal Reception
When receiving terrestrial signals, it is of utmost importance to ensure there are no echoes that could cause problems with signal reception. The H30Crystal allows visualization of echoes in the received signal, enabling the installer to minimize these echoes for optimal signal reception.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal displaying echo analysis for terrestrial signals.
Datalogs
Save and Export
For documentation and further troubleshooting, signal parameter data can be saved and exported. This data can be analyzed later, and the recording is also excellent for work reports. It can also be a useful tool in training contexts.
Image: Screenshot of the Televes H30Crystal datalogs interface, showing stored measurement data.
Always Up-to-Date
Automatic Detection of New Software Versions
The analyzer automatically detects if a new software version is available when connected to the internet (Wi-Fi, Ethernet). To signal the availability of new software, an icon is activated in the upper right corner without interrupting the user's work. The device update is performed via the configuration menu. If the analyzer does not have an internet connection, it can also be updated via a PC on which the software version has been previously downloaded.
