Amazon Echo Auto Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential instructions for setting up and using your Amazon Echo Auto, ensuring a smooth integration into your vehicle.
What's in the box
Your Echo Auto package includes:
- Echo Auto device
- Microphone off button
- Action button
- AUX audio output port
- LED light bar
- Micro-USB port on device
- Alcohol cleaning pad
- Dashboard mount
- 12V in-car power adapter
- Micro-USB to USB-A cable
- 3.5mm auxiliary audio cable
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use the items provided in the original Echo Auto packaging.
1. Plug in your Echo Auto
Connect one end of the included micro-USB cable to the Echo Auto's micro-USB port. Connect the other end of the cable to your car's 12V power outlet using the provided in-car power adapter. Alternatively, you can use your car's built-in USB port if available.
Turn on your car's ignition to power the device. A sweeping orange light will appear, followed by Alexa greeting you, indicating the Echo Auto is ready for setup. If the orange light does not appear within one minute, press and hold the Action button for 8 seconds.

2. Download the Alexa App
Obtain the latest version of the Alexa App from your mobile device's app store.
The Alexa App is essential for maximizing your Echo Auto experience. It allows you to set up calling and messaging, manage music playback, create lists, adjust settings, and receive news updates.
3. Set up your Echo Auto using the Alexa App
Within the Alexa App, tap the 'Devices' icon, typically located in the lower right corner. Follow the on-screen instructions to add and configure your new Echo Auto device.

4. Mount your Echo Auto
Select a suitable flat surface on your car's dashboard, ideally near the center, for mounting the Echo Auto. Clean the chosen surface thoroughly with the included alcohol cleaning pad. Once clean, peel the protective plastic cover from the adhesive side of the dashboard mount. Position the mount on the dashboard so that the Echo Auto device sits horizontally, with its LED light bar oriented towards the driver.

Talking to your Echo Auto
To activate your Echo Auto, simply say the wake word, "Alexa." For guidance on commands and features, refer to the included "Things to Try" card.
Storing your Echo Auto
To store your Echo Auto when not in use, disconnect all cables and carefully remove the device from its dashboard mount, following the method illustrated below.
