General Information
Correct assembly and fit are essential for safety, performance, and comfort. Aventon recommends having a certified bike mechanic check your work, especially if you lack experience.
NOTICE: If you do not have the experience, skill, and tools for assembly and fit, a certified bike mechanic is highly recommended.
NOTICE: Ensure the front and rear wheel mounting hardware is properly secured. Check regularly.
Mandatory Equipment and Use Locations: Before riding, ensure you have all required safety equipment and comply with local laws for electric bikes.
Changing Components or Attaching Accessories: Using non-original parts may void your warranty and compromise safety.
Safety Check Before Each Ride
Always check your bike's condition before riding. Consult a certified mechanic if unsure.
Electrical System
Familiarize yourself with the electrical system. Check brake lever cutoff switches and throttle operation before each ride. Contact Aventon Support if any component functions abnormally.
Brakes
Ensure brakes are free from damage, properly secured, and working correctly. Brake levers should not touch the handlebar when fully squeezed. Seek mechanic assistance if needed.
Tires and Wheels
Wheels should spin straight. If untrue, seek professional truing. Ensure tires and inner tubes are in good condition with correct air pressure. Replace damaged tires/tubes immediately.
Accessories, Straps, and Hardware
Ensure all hardware and accessories are secured per manufacturer instructions. Inspect before each ride.
Suspension, Handlebar, Grips, and Seat Adjustments
Understand suspension fork operation. Adjust handlebar, stem, grips, and seat properly for your weight and terrain. Ensure all are securely tightened.

Throttle on Demand
Use throttle responsibly. It is recommended to pedal first and then use throttle for stability.

A Note for Parents and Guardians
Parents are responsible for children's safety. The Aventure is not for use by children under 18. Ensure child passengers wear helmets.
Wet Weather
Avoid riding in wet weather if possible. If necessary, ride with caution. Do not ride in heavy rain or immerse the bike in water. Reduce speed, brake earlier, be visible, and watch for hazards.
Night Riding
Avoid riding at night if possible. If necessary, wear reflective clothing, slow down, use familiar lit roads, ensure reflectors and lights are functional.

Assembly Instruction
Follow these steps for assembling your Aventon Aventure ebike. Consult a certified mechanic if needed.
- Unpack the bike: Carefully remove the ebike and accessories from the box. Recycle packaging materials.
- Prepare for handlebar installation: Remove stem rubber cover and loosen stem bolt.
- Handlebar Installation: Place stem onto head tube, align display, secure with top cap and screws. Reinsert rubber cover.
- Front wheel installation: Remove protective guards. Ensure brake rotor is between brake pads. Tighten axle nuts to 25-30Nm.
- Front fender installation: Align fender with fork screws and tighten with 4mm hex key.
- Put down kickstand: Support the ebike.
- Pedal installation: Grease threads. Right pedal (R) tightens clockwise; Left pedal (L) tightens counterclockwise. Torque to 35 Nm.
- Motor protector: Remove motor protector from the rear wheel area.
- Inflate tires: Ensure beads are seated. Inflate to 5-30 PSI. Do not over/underinflate.
- Install saddle: Adjust seatpost to comfortable height, ensuring minimum insertion point is met. Secure seatpost clamp.
- Adjust seat position and angle: Loosen seat adjustment bolt, adjust seat, and tighten securely (8Nm).
- Adjust display and handlebar: Align handlebars straight with the front wheel. Tighten pinch bolts. Adjust display and headlight position and secure with screws.
- Powering on the display: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Refer to BC280 manual for details.
Battery Charging
Charging procedure
- Ensure battery is off.
- Remove rubber cover from charging port.
- Plug charger into battery port before plugging into power outlet.
- Plug charger into power outlet. Red light indicates charging.
- Once fully charged (green light), unplug charger from outlet first, then from battery.
- Battery indicator: Blue (90%-100%), Green (33%-90%), Red (0%-33%).
Charge battery between 50°F - 77°F (10°C -25°C). Contact Aventon Support if issues arise.
Battery Charging Information and Best Practices
- Check charger, cables, and battery for damage before charging.
- Charge in a clear, safe area.
- Charge battery between 50°F - 77°F (10°C -25°C).
- Battery can be charged on or off the bike. To remove, turn key to unlock.
- Recharge after each use. No memory effect.
- Charging takes 3-7 hours.
- Charger light: Red (charging), Green (fully charged).
- Remove charger within one hour of green light. Avoid leaving connected for over 12 hours.
- Never charge unattended.
- To turn on bike: Quick press battery button, then hold display button.
- To turn off bike: Hold display button, then hold battery button for 3 seconds.
Warning: Improper charging can lead to component wear, battery issues, or charger damage, which may not be covered under warranty.
Removing the Battery
Insert key, turn to unlock, then remove battery. Use caution with connector terminals.
When Installing the Battery on the Bike
- Ensure battery is off.
- Align and gently push battery into tray. Push firmly until it clicks. Turn key to confirm lock.
- Ensure no space between battery and tray.
- Pull outwards on battery with both hands to confirm it's secured before each use.
Charger Safety Information
- Use charger indoors in a cool, dry, ventilated area on a flat surface. Avoid liquids, dirt, debris. Do not cover charger.
- Store charger safely away from children.
- Fully charging extends battery life and reduces over-discharge risk.
- Use only the supplied Aventon charger or an approved charger.
- Charger works on 110/240V AC and auto-detects voltage. Do not open or modify.
- Do not yank cables. Unplug by pulling plastic plugs.
- Charger may get warm. If it's too hot, smells strange, or overheats, discontinue use and contact Aventon Support.
Warning: Use only approved chargers. Aftermarket chargers can cause damage, injury, or death.
Warning: Follow charging procedures carefully to avoid damage or injury.
Long Term Battery Storage
- For storage over 2 weeks, charge/discharge battery to approx. 75%.
- Remove battery from bike frame for storage.
- Store battery in a dry, climate-controlled location (50°F -77°F / 10°C-25°C).
- Check battery monthly and recharge to 75% if needed.
Warning: Improper storage can lead to a non-functional battery, not covered by warranty.
Warning: Discontinue use and contact Aventon immediately if battery is damaged, non-functional, or involved in a crash.
Warning: Do not cover charger while charging. Ensure proper ventilation.
Warning: Do not open battery housing; this voids warranty and can cause damage or injury.

Riding Data Pages
Click 'i' to switch between TRIP DIST., AVG. SPEED, MAX. SPEED, and TRIP TIME.
Assistant Level
Click '+' or '-' to switch assist levels. Long press '-' for pedestrian mode (WALK).
Main Menu
- Long press 'i' to enter the main menu.
- Use '+' / '-' to navigate and 'i' to select options like 'Set Unit', 'Clear Trip Data', 'System Info.', and 'Connect to APP'.
Connect to Aventon App
- Long press 'i' to enter the main menu.
- Navigate to 'Connect to APP' and press 'i'.
- Scan the QR-Code with the Aventon APP to adjust speed limit, turn on lights, and access more functions.
Operation

Driving Range
Range depends on factors like elevation, speed, payload, starts/stops, temperature, tire pressure, and terrain. Start with lower assistance levels and adjust as you become familiar.

Parking, Storage, and Transport
- Turn off power when pushing or carrying the bike.
- Turn off power and lights to conserve battery.
- Lock battery to frame or remove it for security/storage.
- Park indoors when possible. If parking outdoors in wet conditions, dry the bike ASAP.
- Park in public places according to local rules.
- Lock your bike securely.
- Use a rack designed for the bike's size and weight.
- Remove the battery when transporting on a vehicle rack to reduce weight and protect the battery.
- Avoid transporting in rain to prevent water damage to electrical components.
Maintenance

If you lack experience, use a certified bike mechanic for maintenance and adjustments.

Regular inspection and maintenance are key. Intervals are guidelines; real-world wear varies.

Pre-Ride Safety Checklist
Perform before every ride and after every 25-45 miles (40-72 km).

Tire Information
Aventure uses 26" x 4.0" tires. Ensure proper inflation (5-30 PSI) and condition. Do not under or overinflate. Use a regulated air source with a gauge. Replace worn tires/tubes promptly. Using aftermarket tires/tubes may void warranty. Contact Aventon Support for tire information.
Derailleur
Derailleur levers are located on the right handlebar. Pressing them shifts gears.
Trouble Shooting

Limited Warranty
Aventon ebikes are protected against manufacturing defects for one year from purchase. This warranty applies to US purchases. Check https://www.aventon.com/pages/warranty for current terms.
The warranty covers specific components: battery, frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, saddle, brakes, lights, bottom bracket, crank set, pedals, rims, wheel hub, freewheel, cassette, derailleur, shifter, motor, throttle, controller, wiring harness, LCD display, kickstand, reflectors, and hardware.
This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Consumables (tires, tubes, brake pads, cables, housing, grips, chain, spokes).
- Damage from failure to follow manual instructions, accidents, misuse, neglect, abuse, commercial use, alterations, improper assembly, unauthorized parts, operator error, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper maintenance.
- Battery damage from power surges, improper charger, misuse, or water damage.
Determining warranty coverage is at Aventon's discretion.
Shipping Damage:
Notify Aventon within 30 days of receipt with dated pictures of damage and original packaging. Inspect shipment immediately. Aventon is not responsible for damage during independent shipping methods.
Credit Card Chargebacks:
Chargebacks invalidate the warranty while the ebike is possessed.
Claims Process:
Provide photos/videos of damaged components. Contact Aventon Product Support via https://support.aventon.com/contact-us or phone (866) 300-3311. Follow instructions for returns and replacements. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless Aventon agrees otherwise.
Aventon's liability is limited to the purchase price of the ebike. Consequential, incidental, or punitive damages are excluded.
Some states do not allow limitations on incidental/consequential damages.
This warranty grants specific legal rights that may vary by state.
Aventon disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
