2. Usage, Controls and Connections
2.1 Overview of the Front
Front panel layout:
1. Power ON/OFF button
2. Remote Eye Sensor
3. Input Indicator LEDs (showing selected input)
4. Volume Control and Selector knob
LED Input Indicators:
- 1. Bluetooth
- 2. Phono
- 3. AUX

Descriptions:
1. Power ON/OFF: Press to power ON, press to power OFF.
2. Remote Eye Sensor: Receives signals from the remote control.
3. Input Indicator: Shows the currently selected input source.
4. Volume Control and Selector: Turn left or right for volume adjustment (+/-). Press the knob to select the input source.
2.2 Overview of the Back (Inputs & Connections)
Rear panel connections:
1. Ground (GND): For turntable grounding.
2. USB: For connecting external devices or firmware updates.
3. HDMI ARC: For TV sound from TVs supporting HDMI ARC (2.0 PCM only).
4. Optical Input: Digital audio input for connecting audio products.
5. Phono (MM) Input: For connecting a turntable. Remember to connect the "Ground" terminal as well.
6. Line-in for Analogue Sources (AUX): Connect any analogue audio source using RCA cables.
7. Pre-out: For connecting an external power amplifier or subwoofer.
8. Speaker Right Output: Connect speaker cable or banana plug. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
9. Speaker Left Output: Connect speaker cable or banana plug. Ensure correct polarity (+/-).
10. Power Input: Connect the provided power cable to an electric outlet.
2.3 Remote Control Overview (Functions)
Remote control functions:
1. Power ON/OFF button
2. Input Selector button
3. Track Skip / Bluetooth Pairing button
4. Volume Up/Down buttons
5. Mute/Unmute button
Descriptions:
1. Power ON/OFF: Press to turn the unit on or off.
2. Input Selector: Press to cycle through and select your desired input source.
3. Change track/Bluetooth Pairing:
- '<' : Skip track backwards (in Bluetooth Mode).
- '>' : Skip track forward (in Bluetooth Mode).
- 'PAIRING' : Press to pair a new Bluetooth device.
4. Volume up/down: Press to adjust the volume.
5. Mute or unmute the sound: Press to mute or unmute the audio output.
3. Quick Start
- Connect the Power cord into an electric outlet and into the back of the Amplifier.
- Connect your speakers to the Amplifier using speaker cable.
- Connect your source player (TV, tablet, laptop, mobile phone, CD player) to an input on the amplifier, using the appropriate connection.
- The SA1 MK2 has a pre-out, enabling connection to an active subwoofer or a power amplifier.
4. Special Functions and Features
4.1 Auto Sense (APU - Auto Power Up)
When in standby mode, the SA1 MK2 will automatically start up when music playback begins from your source. Note: Auto Sense is not available for the Phono/Turntable input.
Bluetooth will automatically connect to previously paired devices.
To disable Auto Sense: Press and hold the Power button on the remote for 5 seconds. All LED indicators will light up for 2 seconds, indicating APU is disabled. The unit will function normally with APU enabled upon the next power-on.
To ensure Auto Sense is always off, manually power off the amplifier using the remote and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
4.2 Auto Standby (APD - Auto Power Down)
The SA1 MK2 will automatically enter standby mode after 15 minutes of inactivity (no music playing). The timeout for Bluetooth connection loss is also 15 minutes.
4.3 Unpair Bluetooth Devices
Press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds. The light will flash, indicating the device is unpaired.
