Important Information
Regular descaling is crucial for maintaining optimal steam performance and extending the appliance's lifespan. Use distilled or demineralized water if you live in an area with hard water.
Preparing for Use
This appliance is designed for tap water. However, in hard water areas, using distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent scale buildup and prolong the appliance's life. Avoid using perfumed water, water from tumble dryers, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, or chemically treated water, as these can cause damage.
Using the Appliance
The OptimalTemp technology allows you to iron all ironable fabrics without adjusting temperature or sorting. The iron can be safely rested directly on the ironing board. Refer to the manual for fabric symbols indicating ironable and non-ironable materials.
Ironing: Ensure the steam generator is on a stable surface, the water tank is filled, and the appliance is plugged in and heated up. Follow the steps for steam ironing and utilize the steam boost function for stubborn creases.
Vertical Ironing: The iron can be used vertically to remove wrinkles from hanging fabrics.
Safe Rest: The iron can be safely rested on its platform or horizontally on the ironing board.
Energy Saving: Utilize the ECO mode for reduced steam output and energy savings. The auto-off function switches the appliance off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular descaling is essential. Follow the descaling procedure when the EASY DE-CALC light flashes. Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning or descaling.
