Operation
Powering On
To turn on the Medicharge Flex, press the power control button. The LED display will light up, indicating the unit is powered on and ready for use. The display and wireless charging symbol will adjust based on usage. Even when the screen turns off, any ports in use will continue to stay on and supply power until they are disconnected.
- If only the wireless charging pad is being used, the wireless charging symbol will disappear after 1.5 minutes, and the screen will turn off after 2 minutes.
- If any ports are active excluding the wireless charging pad, the wireless charging symbol will disappear after 1.5 minutes, and the screen will turn off after 5 minutes.
- If both the wireless charging pad and other ports are active at the same time, the screen and the wireless charging symbol will turn off after 5 minutes.
Voltage Switching
You can switch between DC output voltages by following these steps:
NOTE: Voltage switching is only available on the DC IN/OUT port; the other output ports operate at a fixed voltage.
- To select the desired voltage (12V, 16.5V, 19V, or 24V), press and hold the corresponding button for 3 seconds.
- The selected voltage will appear on the screen and flash for 5 seconds before turning solid. Once the display is solid, the voltage is set.
- To switch to a different voltage, hold the corresponding button to the current voltage for 3 seconds, then repeat step 1 to select a new voltage.
- To turn off the output completely, hold down the corresponding button to the current voltage for 3 seconds.
CPAP Connections
The Medicharge Flex is compatible with most CPAP machines. Below are the adapters required for some popular models:
- ResMed AirSense 10™ & ResMed AirCurve 10™
- ResMed AirSense Mini™ & ResMed AirSense11™
- ResMed S9™
- Phillips DreamStation™ & Phillips DreamStation 2™
LED Light
With the unit powered on, double-pressing the power control button turns on the LED light at full brightness. Pressing the button again reduces brightness to 50%, followed by SOS mode, then strobe mode. Another press after strobe mode restarts the cycle from full brightness.
NOTE: While any LED light mode is active, double-pressing the power control button turns off the LED light.
Operation | Light Mode | Brightness Level |
---|---|---|
Double Short Press | 1st White Light | 100% |
2nd Short Press | 2nd White Light | 50% |
3rd Short Press | SOS Light | 100% |
4th Short Press | Strobe Light | 100% |
Wireless Charging Pad
To enable wireless charging, press the power control button. Place your device on the circular pad located at the front of the unit, ensuring proper alignment for charging. The wireless charging indicator ((wireless symbol)) illuminates when the pad is active. The maximum power output of the charging pad is 15W.
Charging
There are three ways to charge your Medicharge Flex:
AC Adapter
- Plug the AC 240V adapter into the DC IN/OUT port.
- Connect the other end to a suitable AC 240V power source.
This will charge the unit from 0-100% in 8 hours.
USB-C
- Plug the USB-C cable into the USB-C IN/OUT (1) port.
- Connect the other end to a suitable power source.
This will charge the unit from 0-100% in 4 hours.
Solar
Plug an unregulated solar panel (12V - 24V) into the DC input port on top of the unit. The maximum input of the solar panels is 100W, and the maximum voltage is 24V (do not exceed 24V).
This will charge the unit from 0-100% in 4 hours, provided your solar system is delivering 100W in ideal sunlight conditions.
iTechworld recommends using the iTechworld 100W Solar Blanket paired with the 50A-5mm Anderson Adapter.
